Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

She keeps quiet, perched on your shoulder as you go.

"You have to be fucking kidding me..." Emerald grumbles.

 

"Wa, she's alive?" I ask drunkenly, "ARTEMIS! ARTEMIS! EMERALD IS AL..."

I turn around and stumble back into the room, tripping over a green bottle and faceplanting next to a half eaten pizza, a few other empty pizza boxes strewn about. The bottle's label reads "POISON - DO NOT DRINK"

Artemis lies snoring on the large sofa in the game room, what looks like hopefully pizza staining her mouth and clothes.

 

"I shouldn't be apologizing, but sorry."

"Should I just come back at a different time?"

 

"Put me down and find me a book so I can psyblast 'im..."

Emerald rolls her eyes.

 

Bardock is taking it all in.
We just continue walking, hoping nothing happens.

 

"Can you walk?"

 

Nothing does. Your pack is asleep.

"Probably not."

 

"I probably shouldn't let you down, then..."

 

"No, no no no, we're good, we're cool." I say, climbing up the sofa and shaking Artemis.

Artemis wakes up and coughs, before grabbing what looks to be a large empty packet of crisps and puking into it.

"Whaaaa...?" Artemis drones.

"Ar-*burp*-Artemis, E-Emerald is...fukkin...alive, or some shit. I don't kn-know." I say drunkenly to Artemis, losing my balance and sliding off the sofa.

"...Whaaat?" Artemis asks, squinting, looking confused.

 

"And she has amnesia, so for her, this is her first time seeing you. At least make an effort."

 

"I'm not dead, nitwit two." Emerald growls.

"Go get me a tome please."

 

"I'm not letting you down around a drunken shadow king and Artemis."
I state flatly.

 

"...Fine."

 

"We're here." He whispers.
"Let's try not to wake anyone."
He lowers himself and lets Anne jump off.

 

Artemis just squints at you, looking extremely confused.

"Aaah...pizza." I say, rolling along the floor and grabbing a piece of pizza with my mouth.

Artemis can't seem to comprehend what Emerald is saying, reaching down and grabbing another bottle of poison, this one with liquid inside, and downing it before burping rather loudly.

 

She hops off and silently pads over to a stump, curling up between exposed roots.

"Yeah... how the fuck are you two supposed to be any help?"

 

Artemis just ends up passing out again, the bottle falling out of her hands and rolling along the floor until it hits me.

 

I join her and lay down next to her.
"Good night."
He gives her a kiss on the head.

You wake up in the morning, everything seemingly back to normal.

 

"Okay, tonight is the full moon."
*sigh*
