I comment, walking with her.

 

"T-this works..."

 

"Alright, then."

 

The Shadow guides Thirteen and Emerald to the nearest elevator, turning the dials for them.

 

Emerald glances at the shadow.
"What's your king like?"

 

"I haven't met him personally, Ma'am, but he looks very strong and powerful." The Shadow says.

 

"That's a shame. Then again, my mistress likes attention..." Emerald sighs.

 

"Oh, you're a servant too?" The Shadow asks.

 

"Yeah... I missed the past several thousand years, though... damn amnesia."

 

"Are you sure your mistress didn't wipe your memories?" The Shadow asks, teleporting the trio to a carpeted corridor leading to a doorway.

 

"No, but she's... not that precise."

 

"Oh...Well, the king's just through that door. I'm...not permitted to enter that room." The Shadow says, pointing to the doorway.

 

"Oh, I guess I've eaten all of it. Oh well."
He gets up.
"Let's head home, quick."

 

"Thanks for the escort." Emerald mumbles.

"Right."
Pause.
"I'm welcome there, right?"

 

"Yeah, Keela allowed the two of us to have a relationship, so we should be good."

 

"In that case..."
Anne leaps onto your shoulder.
"Carry me!"

 

"Okay.."
Pause
"Try not to move to much."
He starts walking

 

I nod, knocking on the door.

There's a slight stumbling sound from behind the door, before I swing it open, looking rather inebriated.

"Thirt-teeeeeeeen!" I say drunkenly, cheering, "Was you, was you doing ere dude?"

 

"Oh no. Bad time to be drunk, Aj."
I say flatly.
"Emerald woke up and got amnesia, so this is kind of your second first-impression."
