Another Dungeons & Dragons Campaign (6/6 Players)

This is a Dungeons & Dragons campaign, designed as a way to add extra players, since there are a lot who want to join @SPYROHAWK's campaign, but that campaign has about 8 players already. This is similar, but with some changes, customized rules, and my own, homemade world.

If you have a character already, they must have permission to be used by me.

Unless stated otherwise, any new character starts at the same level of the party.

Some information for new players:

Spoiler: Classes

Barbarian - Savage brutes and skilled warriors. Can go into rage in battle.
Bard - Supportive spellcasters who use music to perform magic.
Cleric - Divine spellcasters drawing power from a deity.
Druid - Nature-worshipping mages with shapeshifting.
Fighter - Anyone with martial skill and no particular specialization.
Monk - Unarmed, agile fighters who can cannel ki.
Paladin - Holy knights drawing power from a sacred oath.
Ranger - Guardians of nature, wielding bows, blades, and beastly allies.
Sorcerer - Specialized arcane spellcasters with innate magic.
Warlock - Unusual arcane spellcasters with magic from a mysterious pact.
Wizard - Versatile arcane spellcasters with magic derived from study.

Hi.

I would highly recommend changing the DC of your custom death saves from 15 to 13. At the moment, any player who has less than a whopping 20 constitution and who doesn't have proficiency in CON saves is more likely to die than if it were just a 50/50 roll. D&D itself seems to consider stats higher than 18 exceedingly rare (especially since you don't allow rolling for stats), so a DC 15 death save may lead to a lot more player deaths and frustration.

Other than that, this looks pretty neat, though I can't join it for obvious reasons.

Good thing you did, you'll probably get at least 1 first-time player (considering 75% of the main campaign's starting group was new)

That, and the fact that Level 1 players take literally two hits to start doing death saves...

 

You copy/pasted the class list from my campaign. That’s fine, except it’s wrong. All the “choose one from x number of subclass” values are wrong on every single one except Artificer

I would recommend removing those parts

The character sheet might not be the newest, or most accurate, but I'm pretty sure it has the essentials.

As for backstory, I'm not going for some tragic ultimate Mary Sue type. Simply a guy who liked entertaining in his home village, come to [X Starting Location] to seek adventure.
If I'm correct, I don't have to choose a bardic college until level 3 I mean I'm almost definitely going with lore but still

The character sheet looks fine, although you might want to write out your bard spells. The basic backstory is good, too, and you're correct about bard colleges. Just PM me the spells and a bigger backstory, if you have one, and Niryes looks good to go.

 

Will probably join...as soon as I get access to a computer...and I figure out how the hell character creation works.

 

You can pm Teh_Swashbuckler to help you... Once you have access to a computer, naturally. Spyro helped the 50%+ people who have never played D&D in the main campaign, so I'm guessing he will as well...
