Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

A robot is talking to Emerald, but the library's empty...

...leaving an unguarded Archives.

"Maybe the dragons can help you? They know a bunch of stuff."

"Ruby... she was driven to insanity, but didn't show it until she knocked me out. I... don't know what happened after that. It's all fuzzy."

 

"You mean the dragons that live deep inside the forest? You've met them?!"

 

"Do you know a guy named the Hive Master?"

 

The girl, curious, heads to the archives.

 

They're barely open, but she feels weak as she enters.
Artifacts of all sorts rest here... only an extremely experienced archmage could stand in here for long.

"Yeah. I think he got me."

"No, the mountain dragons. On the island?"

 

"Yeah, I think he did as well. Well, come on."
I get up.
"You might want to see Xlentia about this, first."

 

The girl quickly leaves, not wanting to pass out.

 

"Oh, you mean the mother with the two welps? And Siln?"

 

"...I need a minute."

"...Yeah, I think so."

She bumps into a guard on the way out.
"Trying to steal something?" They ask, uncloaking with rifle in hand.

 

The girl just ignores them, walking past them.

 

Their foot gets caught in a snare, before she's let go.
"Mistress says you were just exploring. I hope you can pardon me, miss." They say, cloaking again.

 

The girl pays no attention, continuing onward to the staircase, and heading down.

 

Nobody else crosses paths with her.

 

Once she reaches the bottom floor, the girl watches Emerald from a distance.

 

Emerald glances at her, but doesn't get up.

 

The girl just watches from a distance, her emotions hard to read.

 

Emerald doesn't try, glancing at her periodically before shouting - "What?"

 

The girl just remains where she is, watching.

 

Emerald leaves her be, laying back down.

 

The girl eventually leaves the library, following the walls of the palace.
