That was a... ehm long run...

 

that's it? no story, no nothing? damn, my death was exciting as hell.

 

The first night in [wherever this game takes place] was largely characterized by the chilly gusts that slipped through the open windows in every house in the city. A sea of clouds glided far overhead, brightening and dimming the land below as the moon faded in and out of view.

We had discovered yesterday that an organized group had recently risen from within the city. We spent much of the first day in deep conversation regarding the identity of these people, but we came to few conclusions by the day's end.

A citizen by the name of Zombie kthen had lost the keys to his house, and spent much of the night knocking from door to door in the hope that someone would let him in. At last, after visiting every house on the block, a door opened and Erika & Ephraim quickly shooed him in before closing the door.

Zombie kthen collapsed into the nearest chair he could find and began to recover his breath.

"I'm sorry, I- I must have lost my keys..." he said between gasps as Erika & Ephraim returned from the kitchen with two glasses of wine.

Zombie kthen quickly accepted the glass, and soon he was relaxing in the chair with Erika & Ephraim sitting beside him.

"I saw someone watching me as I walked," said Zombie kthen, as he emptied half the glass in one gulp. "I went to every house on the block, but you were the only person who let me in. Thanks."

Erika & Ephraim nodded, their glass left untouched. "It's my pleasure."

With a loud yawn, Zombie kthen said, "You know that Mafia that rumor's said is running around this city? I'm worried that they're out tonight."

Both of them glanced out the window. Erika & Ephraim stood up and pulled the curtain before returning to their seat.

"I hope," said Zombie kthen, "that no-one followed me here..."

There was an awkward silence as Erika & Ephraim opened the cupboard beside the chair and drew a knife. Zombie kthen was too busy dozing to notice.

One hour later, the lamp in the house died out, as no-one was present to fuel it.

Chigo_ was walking down the street at the break of dawn, with a spare key jingling in his pocket as he headed for Erika & Ephraim's house. The morning mist gave the neighborhood the atmosphere of a horror movie, Chigo_ thought to himself as he reached the doorstep and inserted the key.

The house was quiet, he noticed.

He pulled out a flashlight and began to observe the room. The first thing that came to sight was a massive streak of blood across the wall opposite the door. The chairs beneath it were splintered and barely recognizable. He pointed his flashlight further down and saw the mangled bodies of both Zombie kthen and Erika & Ephraim. Who - or what - could have caused this?

 

It appears as if we have a serial killer here.

 

just gonna point out there could also be another type of killing role.

Ok given I voted to lynch Erika yesterday I'm psure it's a vig and not an sk
no sk in their right mind would shoot an inactive person who could've been a good mislynch

So here's a few things...
1) slight townread on stlast for using Erika's name in flavor, instead of using an unknown mafia, which has the motivation "i don't know all the roles i'll just have to use the ones I know", but this read isn't anywhere close to strong
2) analyzing the night kill gives nothing, since I townread zombie kthen, I guess mafia targetted him?

3) Initial tone scumread; it looks like "oops we have a problem", however such SK(actually likely vig imo) actually would dent the mafia a large amount, and then we only have to lynch one scum

 

There isn't much to go on right now, so I'm making do with the limited number of posts that exist. Just to clarify.

This seems suspiciously passive to me. Mafia tend not to call for lynches early on to avoid rasing suspicion, and this fits the case imo.

Random voting usually has around a 1/5 chance to get a mafia, 1/5 to get a cop 3/5 to get a civ
1/5 chance to have a positive effect
4/5 negative

In the first game on Wynn Mafia, everyone but me acted like this, and they no-lynched in like one day :|
Everyone no-lynched, not just one person.
Pretty sure ubershaften has already encountered these kinds of people who no-lynch till oblivion.
It is true that you should lynch every day but when the number of town is two more than the number of mafia, but passive != scummy. Look at all the inactives. They can't ALL be scum for playing passively.
Ubershaften seems like he's trying to push a mislynch, which accounts for my earlier read on him, and is stronger than my initial townread.

Cop is useful, yes, but we should combine the cop's ability with lynching. And no, we aren't random voting.
