"I see. Ofcourse it's a bit sad for me though, but yesterday I spend a whole day with you, so I won't bother."

 

"...Yep. Shitty plot device, eh?"

I grin at him.
"You and I have more in common than you may think, Voidfiller. But, that's a talk for another day."

"Well, why would that mean I couldn't be with you? I just can't walk beside you easily."

 

"Honestly with everything that's been going on and been said, I wouldn't be surprised to find out that we're actually characters in a video game or something and we don't realize it." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"If you say so, Hotshot."
Voidfiller grins back.

 

"It doesn't mean we can't be together. I'm happy to have you."
Pause.
"It's just been so long since I've seen a really human. Sorry if I made you worry."

 

"Well, that's up for you to speculate and me to ignore." I shrug.

"It's fine. You did have me worried for a minute there, though."

I roll my eyes.
"Well, thanks for giving me a bit of a hard time. Good for memories and crap like that."

 

"Any time, Eric."

 

"...In retrospect, I have enough people who do that. Thanks anyways, though."

 

Voidfiller just smiles.

 

"Don't worry. Just my human side."

 

"Even if we are, that doesn't make us any less real. I think, therefore I am. Anyway, don't you think it'd be more obvious if we were in some kind of video game? Pretty much everything makes sense here, and it always has." I say.

"I think saying you're in a video game is just a coping mechnism to deal with the inevitablity of eventual death. If you pretend you're not real you can escape your mortal coil, but when it comes down to it, we're all real, and we'll all, one day, eventually die." Stephanie says, serious.

"Jeez guys, tone it down. I was just joking around." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"...Don't lose touch with it. I don't know if I can bring myself to love a monster."

I roll my eyes.
"Well, don't get too sidetracked. If you've been following recent news, this reality's Gaia has fallen to the Hive Master. You may want to stop lounging around with happy adventures at home and get back to getting your hands dirty."

 

"What do you mean by that? You think I'm a monster?"

 

"No, but... most werewolves who lose touch with their humanity lose it and become monsters. I don't want that to happen to you."

 

"As long as I remember my past, that won't happen."

 

"In that case, can you promise me to never forget?"

 

"I promise, but it will be though."
He kisses her on the head.

 

"Oh, no."
"What other gods does he have?"
Crystal asks.

 

She nuzzles you.

"Currently, Gaia and the high god of water. I could tell you their name, but Emerald still needs a job, so I'll save that for her."

 

"I swear I won't turn into a monster."
