Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Well, yeah, but I wouldn't be trespassing."

 

"I think I've heard of that place, actually," Katie says happily, "I guess some things are consistent across realities huh?"

 

"A big rock called Earth tends to be a common factor, yes."

 

"Does your Earth have guardians too?" Katie asks, curious.

 

"Nope. No magic. It sucks."

 

"No, you won't be trespassing."
He looks at the sky.
"You know, once I'm back home I'll ask Keela about it."

 

"Wow, how do you even survive there? I hope you can still use my rod there though, since it uses magic." Katie says.

 

You can't. Not without rolling over again.
"Please do."

"Hell if I know. If it doesn't, then I'll probably find a way to make it work anyways."

 

Katie smiles, content.

 

"I will." He smiles.
Pause.
"But first you should finish healing me."

 

"Well, thanks for the gift. I believe I still have several to open, though..."

"Really."
He tries to get up.
"Could you.. get off?"

 

Abigail walks over and shoves a gift wrapped in paper with various coloured dragons on it in front of you.

 

I snicker as I open it, careful to preserve the paper.
"I want this wrapping paper."

"Oh, yeah."
She hops off your back.

 

"Thank you."
He gets up and stretches a little.
"Huh, it feels better."

 

"It should. You don't actually have any burns left."

 

Inside is another box.

"Try not to kill yourself with this." Abigail says.

 

I snicker, opening that box.
"I choose to withhold my comment."

 

"Only those paw marks."
He looks at his body
"They'll go away, right?"

 

"You need to wash them off, but yeah."
