Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The nurse walks over after checking the patient she's with.

"Are you feeling alright?" The nurse asks.


"Greetings! I'm Stephanie." Stephanie says positively, smiling.

"We've brought you gifts," Katie says happily, holding up a blue present, "Oh, and my name is Katie."

 

"I'll try to keep it open for you."

"Well, if I do, they ran like hell."

 

"Thanks, and sorry I can't be there sooner."

Crystal and I follow the group through the portal.

 

"I was wondering where these wounds were coming from."


"Gifts? Oh, right. It's my birthday. You don't even know me and you're giving me stuff? Ihra taught you well..." He says, standing up.
"Well, let's get this out of the way. I know who you all are, but maybe you don't know me."

He holds out his hand.
"I'm Eric."

You enter just in time to here the human say his name.

 

Noticing that he's interacting with Aj's group, I politely stand to the side, and Crystal looks at him curiously.

 

"The pirates, though we've managed to drive them off." The nurse explains.


"Huh, so that's why Aj wanted us to bring presents..." I say to myself.

"It's nice to meet you, Eric," Stephanie says, shaking Eric's hand, "Are you a psychic or the like? How do you know of Ihra and us?"

 

He meets Crystal's gaze.
"Come on, handshakes aren't biased." He says, extending his other hand towards Crystal.

 

"So you don't even know? That's... weird."

 

Crystal smiles, shaking him hand.
"Nice to meet you, Eric!"

 

"Figured... They may be back soon."


"That question gets to go unanswered because my caffeine hasn't kicked in yet."

"Not my fault I was cooped up and don't know much about what was outside the throne room in my youth."

"Oh god, remind me to be careful before shaking the hands of a golem..." He says, trying to keep a straight face.

 

"Oh, sorry..."
Crystal pulls his hand back.
"Did I hurt you?"

 

"Nope, it just feels really strange."

 

"Don't tell me you spend your entire live in your room."

 

"I hope they won't be." The nurse says, before heading to another wounded guardian.


"You drink coffee? There are much better and healthier alternatives to it, you know." Stephanie says, summoning a light blue potion.

"So how old are you today?" Shadow Stephanie asks, walking over so she's next to Stephanie.

 

"I did until I burned it down..."

 

"Oh, right. I guess it would."
Crystal nods.

 

"How do I get to the shore?" Mary shouts after them.


"Not where I come from."

"Okay, so you're aware it's a birthday thing. Yeah, I'm 18."
Pause.
"Man, Abigail's face really got messed up..."

"I get how that's weird. I mean, I don't touch skin much, so that's kinda weird for me."
