What does changing your name in a guild do: Currently, changing your name whilst still in a guild causes a glitch where you are incapable of leaving or there is a 'ghost' of your account that is still registered in your guild, making you unable to rejoin or join another guild.
I have no intention of changing my name, at least for now, so you won't have to worry about me taking an extra slot (and if I do plan on changing my name, I'll be sure to inform someone and leave beforehand).
