Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Fine."
Pause.
"Could you heal me then? I can't spend an entire week in pain."

 

Mary can hear a few tropical birds as Kenas keeps quiet.


"I was planning to bring the group to the portal, actually. Should I bring Abigail? She's recovered a lot." I ask.

 

"Yeah, I'll keep going." She says, practically walking over you in practically every way possible.

 

"Just.. be careful with those particular places."

 

Mary glances up, curious.


"Perhaps. That's up to you. I'm only detecting one being on the other side, so it should be safe."

"No guarantees, Sir Burned-Alot."

 

"Understood, Princess."

 

Colourful birds flit through the dense trees outside the hut, some making themselves obvious in trees to presumably attract a mate.


"Two days, one person?" I theorize, "Either way, Abigail's sort of acting like her old self again. Sort of."

 

She giggles, continuing on before curling up and resting again.

"This beats stormy seas." Mary comments.


"Well, I'll leave that decision up to you. Be here in two days, I guess. Or a bit less, if you want to be here when it stabilizes."

 

"I may be a bit biased, but I think this beats anywhere." Kenas says happily.


"Well, I can say for certain the group and I will be here when it's open." I say.

 

"...Maybe not the Garden of Gaia, but I can't say since I've never been."


"I'll keep you updated."

 

"W-Well, the Garden of Gaia is sort of an unreachable place. Only people Gaia deems worthy enough once they've died are even given the option to live there, and Gaia is very hard to please." Kenas says.


"Thanks, Emerald." I say happily.

 

"So, I wanted to ask you. Why did you come to my territory again."
He smiles
"Did you want to see me?"

 

It turns off, and the glow fades, but it's hard to tell if Keila caused it.

 

"Huh. I wonder how people even know about it, then..."


"Stay alive until then."

She shrugs, putting the orb away and scanning other blueprint details.

"Maaaybe." She giggles.

 

"Well, my parents told me, and their parents told them, and I'd think their parents told them." Kenas says, shrugging.


"I don't intend on dying in the near future, and I hope you don't either." I say happily.

 

"You should've let me know, the others were going to kill you."

 

There's some more information about the general structure. The top is supposed to force its trajectory, the base is mainly made up of a cage, but some of it is used for correctly getting energy to the storage crystal. The cage is supposedly meant for the mirror slime.

 

Mary just keeps quiet.


"Thanks. See you in a couple days, then."

She glances at the density of the cage bars.

"Yeah yeah, I know."

 

Mary notices the doctor from before carrying a wounded forest guardian into one of the nearby huts with the assistance of what would seem to be a nurse.


"See you." I say happily, before cutting the connection.

 

"So why did you come here?"
