Ruby flashes five more beams, one for each.

"...A bear? If I see a bear, I'm outta here!"

 

"History is written by the victors, as they say." The doctor says, shrugging.


The creatures are killed, and Ruby is left alone again.

 

"You scared of bears?" He laughs.
"Haha. Really?"

 

"Portal's still open."
Voidfiller grows a hand, pointing towards the box that Keila first came out of. The door's still open, and the glow of the portal is visible.

 

"Unfortunate, at that..."


She keeps quiet.

She nods, heading out without another word as she takes the jewel and blueprint.

"Uh, yeah! They, like, eat everything."

 

The doctor shrugs.

 

"Don't worry. Sparky only attackes if someone threatens him."

 

A small golem trails her to the door, making sure she gets through okay.

 

"Are you sure? Because I'm burning you if he tries to hurt me."

She gets back fine, vanishing as she leaves.

She keeps quiet, worried.

 

The doctor eventually leaves after being called to check on a few more patients, leaving Mary and Kenas alone.

Kenas stays silent, not sure what to say.

 

"I won't let him attack you."
Hand on his heart.
"I promise." He smiles.

 

"...Are dragons really as rare as they claim here?"

She's laying on your heart.
"Okay, sure. Deal."

 

"Cool. So.."

 

She gets up and starts healing a few more burns.

 

"Yeah. You'd be lucky to even see one in your lifetime. Well, a lifetime of about five hundred years. Extremely few people have managed to even tame a dragon." Kenas explains.

 

"Thank you."
He lays down

 

"Huh. Did you hear of the forest guardian who has a pet dragon?"

"I'm probably just going to fall asleep on you after this."

 

"No, but I'd imagine if anyone was capable of taming a dragon, one of our kind would be able to." Kenas says.

 

"Apparently it was a gift."

 

"From whom?" Kenas inquires, curious.
