Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Well, it's not exactly that smart, but it's smart enough to know when it can't go anywhere. Just it being in a cage without food all the time should do the trick. Other than that, it doesn't digest its food very fast, so it shouldn't be that hard to continue feeding it."
Pause.
"At least, I think. I haven't done this before."

 

"I'm sorry to hear that." The doctor says sympathetically.


"I...I died while fighting someone who looked like Ihra. That's all I remember." Abigail says, trying to keep herself together.

 

"It's just that I'm bored now that I'm not doing anything." He laughs.

 

"Please tell me you're going to test it here before it gets to my people..."

"You're being healed. Which, frankly, sucks."

"It's fine... I'm not there anymore, am I?"


"Good. Now, your next question for me was who I am. Is that correct?"

 

"Indeed you're not." The doctor says.


"Y-Yes." Abigail says.

 

"For both of us."

 

"Of course. There's a lot less things to destroy here anyways."
Just then, a human-sized golem walks over, and gives Voidfiller what looks like a pistol of sorts.
"You might want to stand back."
Voidfiller tells Keila.

 

"Thankfully..."
Pause.
"...How soon do you think those pirates will be back?"


"You know me all too well. I... I'm Ruby."
Pause.
"My turn. Do you still have your memories?"

"Hah! Yeah, I'd rather be doing something else."

Keila does as told, silent.

 

Voidfiller steps back as well, shaping into a large, formless blob, and shooting himself in the gut with the pistol, before waiting for a bit.

 

Keila just stares, confused.

 

"Yeah, fixing my weapons for example."
He looks at them.
"They got damaged a lot."

 

"It looks like you just have a bunch of arrowheads and an axehead."

 

"I don't know, I'll have to wait for the scout team to tell us." The doctor says.


"I...no, not really. I remember my f-friends, and how they're important to me, and how I died, but not much else." Abigail says.

 

"Yep. Need to gather some wood and string to repair them. I thought that maybe the centaurs had some."

 

Mary nods, worried.
"...What if they do come back for me? What then?"


"...That's good enough to know I succeeded, in part. Now, your turn."

"I dunno, but I can guarantee you the villages caught in the fire don't have any."

 

"Tranquilizer."
The blob informs, a mouth and eye popping out and looking at Keila.
"We're hoping to get a slime a bit smaller than this."
Voidfiller's speech seems a bit lacking of energy.

 

"I'd say your best option is to act innocent. You were with them, weren't you? I'm sure they still trust you, so they probably won't harm you." The doctor says.


"What did you do to me?" Abigail asks, scared.

 

"Yeah... I'll... leave you to your own devices."

 

"Then I'll just have to gather some myself."

 

"Then... how would I get back here?"


"I saved you. Iris tried to seal you within her staff and use you as a puppet against your friends. I stole your soul away before she could seal it, and worked on reviving you."

"Again, not yet. You'll sleep like a rock after this is over."
