Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

She gets out, stretches, and coughs up a portal to the Void Palace.

 

Maria and Jennifer both look rather confused at Muffy's ability to cough up a portal.

 

"She's... magical. Just pray she doesn't cough up the... uh... extremely explosive and unstable fluids she lapped up last month."

 

"See you, Aj!"
"See you, Aj!" The pair say at the same time, both winking at me before heading through the portal.

"Uh, bye." I say, confused, waving.

 

"They're succubi." Linoa sighs.


The duo walk out in front of a confused Rineth, who's eyeing them both.
"I... uh... hello?"

 

"I know, but despite how attractive they are, my heart belongs to Artemis." I say, holding up my half-heart necklace.


"Hey there!" Jennifer says happily.

 

"I know."


"Did my wife send you over?" Rineth sighs.

 

"Are you jealous?" I ask, smug.


"I don't know, who's your wife?" Maria asks.

"I didn't know dragons got married," Jennifer comments, "The honeymoon must be killer!"

 

"Not at all."


"She has the cat which spits up random weapons along with furballs."
Pause.
"Many do. Get used to it... because I'm going to let Emerald deal with you. I'm in the middle of a job."

 

"Are you suuuuure?" I ask, grinning.

"Aj, drop it." Stephanie says flatly.


"Who's Emerald?" Maria asks.

"Are they cute?" Jennifer asks, smirking.

"Jen!" Maria says, annoyed, "We're trying to get a job here!"

 

"Muffy, spit at him."
Muffy coughs up a furball.


"Am I cute? Well, save the flattery for Mistress Xlentia." Emerald says, waiting behind the two.

 

"I thought you do trade, though."

 

"Just fish for stone."

 

"Yeah, I'm not surprised that you get a lot of fish. But why would trade ruin you?"

 

"Too much trade leads to greed. Greed leads to all sorts of problems."

 

"Fair enough."
Voidfiller nods.
"So, about the people in the town... are they allowed out?"

 

"Only the fishermen."

 

"Oh. Hmm..."

 

"I understand it's not ideal, but it's safer for the majority of my people."

 

"It's also your town. 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it'."
