Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Crystal presses the button labeled '5'.

 

The doors close, and the elevator begins to descend. Once the elevator stops, the doors open, revealing a highly reinforced door at the end of a short corridor and a barrier just outside the elevator.

Crystal can feel a large amount of magic leaking through the door, a soft humming sound in the air.

 

Crystal approaches the barrier, not touching it, seeing if his runes do anything to it.

 

The barrier seems unaffected, extremely strong magic in place clearly designed to keep people out.

 

Crystal goes back into the elevator, and presses the button with the tree label.

 

As Crystal goes back to the elevator, Praecantatia seems to be waiting within, a serious expression on her face.

"What are you doing down here?" Praecantatia asks with a serious tone.

 

"Exploring a bit."
Crystal says, honest.
"I got the feeling I shouldn't be here, so I was headed back up."
He points to the barrier.

 

"Hm. You're correct, you shouldn't be here." Praecantatia says, before seemingly disappearing.

 

"Oh... okay..."
Crystal just mutters, entering the elevator.

 

The elevator's doors remain open, waiting for Crystal to press a button.

 

"Y-you know sissy?"

"I'll keep an eye out." She says, smiling. "Just, don't try and kill me for it."

 

Crystal presses the button with the tree label.

 

"I'll tell the others what you look like."

 

"Yes, Katie and I are good friends." Stephanie says.

The elevator doors close, and Crystal feels the elevator ascending.

After a short while, the elevator stops, the doors opening out onto a large root of the massive tree sticking out from the ground.

 

Crystal peeks outside the elevator, looking around more.

 

A few golems wander about near the edge of the vast forest surrounding the tree. The sound of birds chirping and insects buzzing can be easily heard throughout the flowery clearing, the leaves rustling in even the large centre tree.

 

Crystal exits the elevator, shifting to carefully sit down against the tree.

 

A warm sunlight shines down from a light blue sky, a few clouds lethargically floating across it. The atmosphere feels peaceful, like nothing is or ever will be wrong.

 

"Thank you." She nods, Sgavrinn stopping at the mouth of a specific cave.
"Well, I think I'll be taking my leave. It's been a pleasure meeting you."

"O-okay... do you need in, or can I help you from here?"

 

Crystal just takes the time to relax.

Meanwhile, Voidfiller heads towards the portal room, entering the unnamed portal.
