I start towards the forest.

 

I'll take the book and try to opean the pendant if it doesn't open I'll smash it open

 

Lazarus: "You are the one who said it would be fun... Just tell me when you're prepared."

 

I nope out of there, sneak back behind the building, and walk to the town.
"I am NOT getting tangled up in that mess."

 

As do I.

The forest is still a ways away, but you're making progress there.

After you fail to pry it open, you do your best to crush it or smash it against the floor.
It doesn't break.

You dash south towards the town as fast as you can.

 

So? Do I reach the town?

 

As you move south, you see a pair of people in plate coming up the path. One of them is huge and wearing a strange cape with galaxies and stars moving around on it. The other one is smaller, but he has a larger weapon - a scythe - and tougher-looking armor.

 

i inspect the empty book is is really just an empty book?

 

The book looks old, bound in leather. Opening its pages reveals nothing. It's completely blank.

 

I walk towards them, ready to fight if I have to.

"And who are you?"

and the sleep mask is just a regular sleep mask and the Sets of Black Cloaks are the cloaks the cult guys were wearing right?

 

"Oh hello. My name is Robert, and this is Leon. He's a foreigner, so he speaks with paper and pen or uses sign language. He just came here from the town to help cleanse the forest and prevent its forces from encroaching on the town. I've just tagged along."

 

"Cleansing the forest? What do you mean?"

ok then i'll leave the tower going to the nearest town if i know where one is

I pull out the same piece of paper that Leon presented to me when I first met him, it reads:

"My name is Thorston Elwood. Let's go."

Thorston Elwood joins Team A.

 

I begin writing on the paper again.

"You are a mouse, are you not? I do not doubt your capabilities, but perhaps it would be better if you stayed on my shoulder. As to not step on you accidentally.."

 

He's 2 feet tall. Still rather small, but not exactly easy to step on.

"I'll be fine."
