I search the corridor.

 

You are now on ground level behind the house.

I give the bartender a thumbs up, and walk out of the tavern ducking to not bump my helmet.

Is there a town square? If so, I'll head there.

 

There's a town green with a fountain at the center. Heading there, you find a bunch of merchants and buyers. Looks like a market.

 

I look around the area.

 

You're in the back of a group of houses. The large forest is to your left, the town a distance to the right. You hear fighting around the front of the house.

 

Do I notice anyone/anything different/out of place?

 

I sneak towards the front and see what's going on.

No, no. It seems normal.

You sneak past the side of the building and peek out front. The Lizardman is tearing through tons of people. Looks like he's getting rather injured and worn, though.

You materialize a mile above the riverthrone. It's rather cold up here, and you can see much of the geography. A town by a river, a forest a small distance away, plains rolling past it.
You're falling.
What will you do?

 

Charge spell right before I land.

 

You fall for nearly half a minute before using charge. A massive burst of air pushes you forward and applies a shield negating fall damage. You land by a path a bit north of the town.

 

I walk towards the woods that the priests were talking about.

 

It takes a couple minutes, but you find a road heading towards the forest. You can see it on the horizon.
You cannot see much of what's happening there, but looks like there are peo-

You suddenly see a key. A shining key made of a strange sky-blue material. A key that you feel can give power to create or destroy, give the power to anyone.

The vision lasts only a moment, and it's soon broken by a massive boom and a shockwave. Thirty or so feet away, a warrior with plate armor and a giant scythe are climbing out of a still-smoking crater.

 

I reach out then see the key fade, and then lower my hand.

I then see the warrior and ready my mace.

 

As you climb out of your impact crater, you notice an extremely large warrior with a mace standing on the path, ready for a fight.

 

Don't forget he has a huge cape with stars and galaxies moving in it.

 

Generalizations

 

Robert: "Well, I wouldn't suppose you came here looking for potatoes or fish, right?"

 

I shake my head and lower the mace.
