Generic Fantasy - [5/7]

He's awake and was leaving his room when he bumped into you.

 

I grab one shortsword and say

Dez:"thank you just one more thing I've been running low on money can I borrow a bit from you guys I just need something to eat tonight"

 

Did he notice me?

 

You're still a couple feet tall. He notices you, all right.

"Yeah sure man. Just take our- wait why are we treating a prisoner so well?"
You can see the swirly eyes snap out of nearly everyone.

 

If I can, I quickly drop or hide the book.

"Hello, there."

 

Lazarus: "Any chance it could be linked to the cultists?"

 

At that moment I realize I fucked up

Dez:"prisoner? Rally thats cold we were just friends a minute ago. Now if you excuse me I have to go" and I slowly back away to the nearest exit

 

I head into a tavern. I have my weapon resting on my shoulder.

 

Cultist: "Hello. Death Touch."
He extends his finger towards you.

Vesuia: "Cultists love power and hate current leaders. The wizards hate the lord. It could be that, or they could be blissfully unaware of the cultists. Don't really know. Although it would be fun if they were in league and I got to raid their base. Imagine all their magic items and knowledge, just waiting!"

*Flash cut to Eradius' fight in the tower with huge flames in the background*

Cultist: "Seize him!"
Other Cultist: "Stop right there, heroic scum!"

A giant warrior in a strange cape enters the tavern. The bartenders barely notice, it happens a lot. There are some priests by the side tending to two heavily injured men.

 

I quickly start playing my violin and say freeze attempting to cast a freeze spell

 

I walk near the priests, bumping my helmet on the ceiling on the way.

I tap a priest on the shoulder. I signal an "x" on where my mouth would be. I try to communicate in sign language: "Why have these men succumb to these wounds? What caused them?"

Strange that no one is suspicious, neither the dock men, townsfolk, or bartender.

 

I dive out of the way and draw my sword, also trying to pull out my grappling hook.

"I suppose I have to kill you, then."

 

Cultist: "Bad choice, lizard. We know you're spellcasting now. We can resist it."

They've probably seen weirder.

Priest: "How'd you - How'd these men get hurt? Came in from the Bloodwood, by the looks of these injuries. Why do you ask?"

"That's the spirit. Death Jaw."

Massive spikes of bone are erupting out of the floor, zeroing in on your location

 

I duck and roll beneath him. As he hopefully leaps out of the window.

 

Are there any objects I could use my grappling hook on on the ceiling?

 

Leon: (sign language) "Where or what is that?"

 

Lazarus: "And if they're not, it's a chance for new intel or allies."

 

I try to escape running as fast as I can
Attacking anyone in my way

OOC:k I'm going to sleep now

 

The man smashes past you and into the window, crashing through it and sustaining injuries. The shrapnel also hits you, causing a few deep cuts. He begins falling, but he utters a spell.
"Solid Wind."
The man is jumping up through thin air. He re-enters the study, blood all over him.
"DO YOU THINK I'M DONE WITH YOU YET!?!?!"
Oh man. He's really angry.

The ceiling is pretty uniform, but there's a lamp on it. You can hear quite the commotion downstairs. What the hell is that lizard doing?

As you look at the tower, a high up window explodes with a man in a long white coat falling from it. After a bit, he somehow jumps back up to the window. You can see the glow of fire coming from inside the tower.

You slash and cut your way to the front door. Most of these people are pure casters, and they fall to your blade, despite you not being very skilled with it. Eventually, you're outside.
