"Hm.. I think I'll head back home if possible. Don't know if the Leviathan does trips during the night."

 

"I'll follow your lead, then."

"He doesn't, but I can have Sgavrinn fly you home once I get to a cave."

 

"Sure, if it's possible."

 

Sgavrinn nods.
"He'll need directions, though."

 

Stephanie hugs Praecantatia before heading back to the kitchen, touching the head of the larger wooden idol. A dark red liquid pours into the cup it's holding, Stephanie taking it and drinking it before quickly putting it back. Stephanie begins to rapidly shrink, getting onto the kitchen counter before she shrinks back to her normal size.

 

Muffy licks Stephanie's foot as Linoa follows suit.

 

Stephanie pets Muffy lightly before she opens a portal to the Realm of Shadows.

 

Muffy leaps onto Stephanie's shoulder as Linoa follows her, laughing a bit.

 

"That's fine. I can work with that."

 

"Alright. It's too bad you didn't give this place much of a chance, but I agree there's no place like home."

 

The portal seems to lead right to the Shadow Palace portal room, Stephanie heading over to the terminal and slowly putting in commands.

 

Being uncooperative, Muffy hits a random button on the console with her tongue.

 

Stephanie just deletes the extra key entry, continuing to type commands.

 

"I never said I didn't like it here. Plus, I can always come back to visit if I want to. But do to that vision, I think it might be better to stay near my family for now."

 

Muffy jumps at the console, but Linoa catches her.
"You little prick, let her work..." She grumbles.
"Mrow."

She nods.
"I can appreciate being on the safe side."

 

Stephanie eventually gets the portal to open inside a cave leading out onto a sandy beach, wind from the ocean echoing into the cave and portal.

 

"Thank you for understanding."
Pause.
"Shall we head to the caves now, or maybe later?"

 

Linoa and Muffy go through, looking around.

"The sooner I get to the caves, the sooner you can go home." Ragnyon says, getting on Sgavrinn's back.

 

"True."
He also climbs on Sgavrinn's back.

 

A large cliff looms above, the soft sand of the beach crunching below Linoa's feet. The calm sounds of the ocean compliment the salty air, seagulls squawking in the sky.
