"Huh, I see.."
Pause
"I wonder if that was Keela, because the wolf looked familiar. But it was a vague image, so I can't be sure."

Ragnyon pauses, still gazing into the ball, despite the vision being gone.
"Yes, that seems to be that wolf's name. How well do you know them?"

 

"Since I was a little kid."
He looks up at Ragnyon.

 

"...Something, or someone, will likely try to plant a seed of doubt, then. That would make little sense otherwise."

 

"I guess.."
*sigh*
"I'm starting to think if this was even a good idea."

 

"Yes, all things considered." Praecantatia says.

 

Linoa hesitates.
"So... what can we even do?"

"Foresight gives you the chance to change your future."

 

"Guess we'll see what happens next."
Bardock stands up.

 

"Try and free him, hopefully." Praecantatia says.

 

"That's all any of us can do, right?"

"Well, duh. I mean, how are we gonna go about that?"

 

"Well, I can open a portal to hell. Then it's just a matter of locating Mortius and asking him a few questions." Praecantatia says.

 

Linoa pauses.
"Maybe we can lure him out if we take a few beings from our reality's hell?"

 

"I doubt it, he cares for the dead mostly. I'd ask him at a meeting, but we're not going to have a meeting in a while since we had one recently." Praecantatia says.

 

"Yeah. You're right."
Pause.
"So, got anything to do the rest of the night."

 

"...Kiin." Linoa mumbles. "That's it. He spoke to Xephyr as she died. Her daughter probably still has a vague telepathic link to him we can use."

"I was thinking of spending the night with the dragons. The cave floors aren't as hard as you'd think."

 

"You could go and speak to her to try and contact Mortius while I prepared a portal to hell if you want." Praecantatia suggests, smiling.

 

Linoa turns to Stephanie.
"Where does Katie live, and how tight is the security?"

 

"She lives in the ocean near a private beach of hers. I don't think she really has much security." Stephanie says.

 

"Have you been to her house, if so, do you mind if I get the location from your memory?"

 

"I'd like it a lot more if you let me take you there, but sure." Stephanie says, narrowing her eyes.
