Obnoxious Weapon Glitch

My bow has been glitching out lately. Every time I shoot an arrow I receive a message telling me I don't have permission for the area, as if the game thinks I'm editing terrain. When holding the weapon, I can't open doors, fence gates, or loot chests. Getting spammed by a red message every time I shoot is very annoying when fighting multiple enemies. The message only appears when I use this weapon, and only when I right click.

Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, is there a way to fix it?

 

Some weapons are retextured blocks, so the server thinks that you're trying to place a block, and displays that error message. There's no way to fix that, not that I know of at least.

 

This is a problem I have had myself, and while it is not possible to fix, it is possible to prevent it. This problem occurs when you drop your weapon on the floor and then pick it back up. I would recommend rebinding your drop key to something other than Q, something that you aren't going to hit accidentally. Fortunately for you, you should be moving on to a higher level weapon soon, so you won't have that problem.

 

I've had this happen with one of my spears; it's really annoying when trying to open doors.
