Okay, so this is a simple question:

Is there any way to remove the Wynnpack?

I have a brother who has a... troublesome computer and I would like to find a way.

We have changed the graphics to lower, removed the noteblock songs, and more, and yet Wynncraft is still too laggy for him to play on. We suspect it's the resource pack.

I have already searched for ways, but the ways that worked before don't work anymore (I'm guessing the entire file configuration was updated with Minecraft.) The "server-resource-packs" folder only has the packs that allow text to show up on the "join servers" page. Nothing else.

    Anyone know?

(Also, I am sure it's allowed, as mods seemed to be okay with the old threads seeking to remove it, even going so far as to like some of them.)

I don't know how, but removing the resource pack would make the game almost unplayable. Many of your weapons would turn into items like stone slabs, leaves, and levers. Also, a lot of quests would be very confusing without the resource pack. If you're really lagging, I would recommend getting Optifine. It's really easy to install and you don't need Forge.

We've actually tried Optifine, but something went wrong with it- the program really seems to hate our computer.
Also, we were thinking of replacing it, we simply didn't want the animated textures, those are what seem to make the computer lag.

Try optifine again, then click on disabling texture animations or turning all animations off.

The Wynnpack has 16x16 textures, which is the same as the default pack, so the problem probably isn't the resource pack. There are many more things going on in Wynncraft that don't happen in a normal server, so there are other possibilities, although it would be very difficult to turn those off, as many of them are crucial to the game. Try lowering the render distance, turning clouds, particles and view bobbing off, and using different Minecraft versions. These might help. I'm not very good with computers, but I believe there's a way to allocate more RAM to the game, if somebody with more computer skills can help out with that.

When your Minecraft client is running for a long time, it fills up it's memory. When your memory gets to 100%, your game freezes off and on.

Allocating more RAM to Minecraft is usually beneficial, it delays these freezes for a much longer. Unfortunately I think this person is experiencing consistently low framerates.

If he really enjoys Minecraft or video games in general, he might want to invest in a more powerful computer.

It's very inconvenient to play Wynncraft without the Wynn Pack but when my game lags I turn down the render distance to 6 chunks or lower and it usually helps!

Well if you mean deleting and redownloading it, in your .minecraft is a folder called serverresourcepacks.

the way minecraft loads server resourcepack is aids, turning it off/installing it as a normal resourcepack/overwriting default minecraft assets would help, but as you said wynn isnt normal which also plays a part it lag for example when you see 1 mob its actually 4 diffrient entities that ur computer has to process

I don't know if someone else said it but here's what i do
    1. go to your .minecraft folder (you better know where this is)
    2. find server-resource-packs
    3. One of them is the wynnpack, if you only have 1 it makes it easy, if not, good luck
    4. use 7-zip or winrar to open the resource pack
    5. find the assets folder and delete that, ONLY THAT
    6. exit out of the file and put this pack in your resource packs folder(not server resourse)
    7. open minecraft and enable this pack
    8. that's it, wynncraft will load the wynnpack first but since no assets are there nothing will happen. The nostalgic wynn pack will load 100%. This is a great because you don't have to deal with the constant messages saying to enable your resource pack

The texturepack is very likely not the issue, since they arent increased resolution texures. Therefore your best option is to download optifine. If you need help troubleshooting optifine, id be happy to talk you through the process and help with any issues that occur. Optifine adds the ability to disable most of the things thay would cause lag, including animated textures, particles and more.

All of these are ways that did not work before! The "serverresourcepacks" folder only contains strange documents I can't view titled with random numbers.
It wasn't using Optifine that was the problem, it was downloading it. The computer doesn't like downloading programs, which is why it also doesn't have WorldEdit or Forge.

Oh, In the serverresourcepacks folder you can right click the files and then go to open with and then find "open with 7-zip"
