    To be honest, I'm upset by this. I felt SM did nothing good for the series at all, just making it more complicated and more handholding than ever before.i thought USUM would fix those mistakes. Now that I hear (from what it sounds like) USUM is basically a 60$ update, it shows just how downhill GameFreak is going with their money making strategies equivalent to that of Activision.

    well I hugely enjoyed SM so it's a success for me
    and for flipping flopping sake USUM is a completely different story, that is more than just a bloody update man

    Only thing I disliked about SM was the fact that you couldn't skip the damn Z-Move animations.

    My biggest problem with the new games is they're so story oriented that 80% of the content you get from a fullprice pokemon game is equivalent to that of a handheld movie. The few times it isn't bogged down by story are the times when the game is SUPER EASY and the game holds your hand more than a mother would with a two year old in walmart.

    Dude, the totem pokemon were hell though
    Fucking Lurantis ended my nuzlocke run twice, even after grinding up like six levels above it

    As someone who has played a lot of pokemon it just felt like an under leveled gym fight. It was barely revolutionary for the series.

    I think I used Alolan Grimer for Lurantis or something the second time.
    First time doesn't really count since it was a horribly overleveled Inferno Overdrive Torracat that oneshot it.

    No I was playing with nuzlocke rules
    I got an abra there on my first (it TPed) and a rattata on my second so I couldn't have gotten one if I wanted to. Does that clear it up?
