Why Does Ms Matter On Lament?

So, Why does Mana steal effect the price of a Lament so much?
Even in a thread, it mentioned that Mana steal was the most important stat.
So let me explain why mana steal DOESN'T effect Lament much
Lament is pretty spell based, mana steal requires you to hit them to trigger the effect
Normally I stay pretty far away from mobs when I'm playing mage, meaning I usually can't melee the mob

What should the most important stat for Lament then you ask?
I think the damage stats, Water Damage % and Spell damage %
and 2nd stat would be Intel boost

 

int dont matter
only dmg matters
and I'm pretty sure thats not news, damage laments have always been better, but less expensive

so yeah lament shouldn't be priced based off its mana steal.

 

Intel kinda matters, (or it matters more than mana steal and - life steal)

 

lament has 3-13 int

when int is as high as 110, the only important milestones for int are
129int - 75% mana reduction
147 int - 80% mana reduction

so yeah I guess you're right lol

Not saying it matters but Burning Ground triggers Mana Steal.

 

Really? If that's the case, then wouldn't it probably also trigger mana steal?

 

My brain was thinking Mana Steal but my fingers typed Life Steal.

68 is 50%
114 is 70%
129 is 75%
147 is 80%

It does. It helps getting to 129 for maxed out spells.

Mana steal does matter. Lament, like most mythics, isn't your average water wand. Lament is meant to rely on spells to deal damage, but with your melees you can exchange health for mana. There's also the thing that meteor's second hit triggers stealing effects, apparently.

 

Charging curse?

 

If you need Powder Specials in PvE you're doing something wrong.

 

Are you counting bosses in that? If so, why not activate curse?
