Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"We should definitely collect the blood, we need it after all." Artemis says, jumping out of my arms and onto the ground.

 

"I wish you were someone reasonable to talk too. But all I'm getting is a princess with an explosive persona."

 

"I don't have a way to effectively hold it, so do your thing."

 

I summon a couple of bottles, and Artemis drains what's left of the blood in the remains and spits it into the bottles.

 

"So, if this is all we have, what now? Up to the tomes?"

 

"I guess so. We just need the blood to activate them." I say, picking up a fleshy part of the remains with Shadow Katana and eating it.

 

"All right, let's get moving again."
I don't seem to mind Aj's eating habits.
"You guys know where they are, so lead the way."

 

"Well then, I'll let you have first move to decide when the five minutes starts ticking.

 

"I'm pretty sure I left them in the house the boy was connected to." Artemis says.

"Let's go." I say, picking Artemis up and flying off.

 

I fly as well, following you.

 

"Yeah... That was your house, wasn't it."

She nods, pulling her bowstring back as the dome forms.

"I'm reasonable when you're not siding with the things trying to kill me."

 

The pair of us fly back to the farms, looking for the house that the boy was once connected to.

"It was." Artemis says.

 

"It's over this way."
I remind them, flying over the house.

 

I follow, albeit slightly confused.

"Is it this way or that way?" I ask.

 

"I'll go bring her back."


A few minutes later, Rineth knocks on the door of the forest house, carrying an unconscious Katie.

 

Myria answers the door shortly afterward.

"What happened to Katie?" Myria asks, concerned.

 

"It's this one."
I say, pointing towards the house below me, which is the house.

 

"She found out the hard way that Ruin also affects water."

 

"I never tried to kill you if that's what you're thinking."

 

I drop down in front of the house, putting Artemis down who heads inside.

Artemis looks inside the house the eldritch-using boy was once connected to for the tomes.

"She looks like she's thrown up too. Poor girl, I'll take care of her." Myria says.
