Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Which is why I've been trying to forget about it. Can't make anyone envious or mad if I don't use it, right?" I say.

 

"Well, you could certain make people mad, but it's a little bit less likely, yes."

 

"My thinking is that if I use it on one of them, the others will be like 'But my condition is worse because of reason reason reason, and their condition isn't as bad as mine because of reason reason reason'. If I don't use it at all, it'll be like nothing has changed." I say.

 

"Killed the others? What others?"

 

"And you're right, but I think some of them will still get mad if you don't use it at all."

 

"I'd rather not stress about it. Maybe I could get them all to tell me why they think I should use it on them, and decide from there." I say, shrugging.

 

"That sounds like a good idea to me."
I nod.

 

"Of course, I still have this robot tournament to handle which has gone way over schedule and of course we need to free Ihra." I say.

"Take it easy, sweetie." Artemis says caringly.

 

"Robot tournament?"

 

"This robot called Peridot would help us out if I could find him some robotic challengers so he could see if they were 'Worthy', so I agreed and set up a tournament for people to create robots to fight Peridot with. I've had Eve oversee most of it, but I've had to delay it since I've been busy," I explain, "I guess it gives people more time to create robots though."

 

"I'm guessing this 'Peridot' is powerful?"

 

"I didn't want Eve facing him, and Eve is designed to kill things without them beginning to notice they're being killed." I say.

 

The water quickly becomes contaminated...

'My parents. Tried to keep me cooped up. Said I couldn't leave the palace walls... so I burned them down. Problem solved."

 

Katie seals herself in fresh ice, manipulating the water to get her out of the tunnels as quickly as possible.

 

I wait for a few mor moments for anyone to volunteer. If no one volunteers, I challenge a random draconian to a duel.

 

The ice also becomes quickly contaminated, the drill already a sickly purple.

 

"There's no way I'm entering that tournament, then."

 

Eventually, an archer steps into the arena you were just in.
"...I'll go."

 

"You killed your parents?"

 

"Yes. Yes I did. I refuse to be a pretty palace princess, since that's no fun."
