Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Sgavrinn keeps going around, trying to get the scent.
The orange fuzz turns out to be the kitsune, and she jumps on your face and takes off again.

 

"I'm glad to see my efforts weren't fruitless." Artemis says, smiling.

 

"Yeah. It's nice to know that things are working out here."
I smile.
"Now, let's get to that house."

I start walking towards the house with the humans inside from before.

 

Artemis follows obediently, watching the farm as she does.

 

The house doors are wide open, though only Leo's inside.

The Matriarch eventually catches back up with the group, still holding the painting.

 

"Where'd Shadow Stephanie and Artemis go?" I ask, confused, looking around.

 

"I asked...her... to leave, and I believe Artemis is with the robot." The Matriarch says, still a bit shaky.

 

I politely knock on the doors anyways to alert Leo to my presence.

 

He turns.
"Hello, again. Did you need something?"

 

I grab my necklace, focusing my power for a moment before disappearing.

"What did Shadow Stephanie do?" Katie asks.

You feel a dark presence grow near to you.

"Hello, darling." I say happily, appearing next to Artemis and kissing her on the cheek.

"Oh, hey Aj!" Artemis says happily, taking one of my hands in hers.

 

"Sort of. My friends here were wondering about some people that might be here."
I say to Leo, gesturing to Artemis and Aj.

 

"Hey, wait."
Bardock jumps out the tree.
"Sgavrinn, follow her trail."

 

"Gave me a heart attack and had a servant drag me off to the graveyard."

"Oh? What do you need?" He asks, turning to the couple.

Sgavrinn does, rushing ahead.

 

"Are you feeling ok now? I didn't see any of her servants around..." Katie says.


"We're looking for the parents of two children who wielded eldritch tomes, sir." Artemis says.

 

Bardock follows Sgavrinn.
"Ma'am, wait up. I need to talk to you."

 

"Yes, I'm fine."


"You dropped them off a cliff, don't you remember which one?"

Sgavrinn seems to have caught her.

 

"That really doesn't sound like the Shadow Stephanie I know..." Katie says, thinking.


Artemis just looks confused by the question.

 

"Oh. Well done, Sgavrinn."
He pets the dragon.
"So you're the princess then?"

 

"Well, I was going to give Stephanie another painting I finished, since she said she had a gallery to store them in."


Leo sighs.
"Are you like the shadow lady? Killed to many to keep track?"

"L-leave me alone..." She growls, starting to singe the vine snare Sgavrinn grew.

 

"Stephanie's at her home with her real mother." Katie says.


"No, but I don't remember throwing them off a cliff." Artemis says.
