"You've got a point, but it's not something to be making jokes about, really."

 

"How would I find her? Cause I don't think she would come to me."

 

"What? You think the old kingdom was right? Racist." It pouts.

"I'd have to find her. You better believe she'd run from you."

 

"She has been a bit of a heated topic." Shadow Stephanie says, ignoring the other half of what you said.

"Wherever she is, I don't think she deserves the torture you've been planning to put her through at this point. You're only doing that to please the Anubi, and you didn't seem to really care about them in the first place." Artemis says.

"Yeah, to be fair I've been thinking of cancelling the torture sentence we've set on her, if only to have sods law allow us to find her. What're the Anubi going to care anyway, we have their relic now anyway." Shadow Stephanie says.

"For once I'm going to have to agree with you on this. Maybe Abigail's just hiding out of fear somewhere you can't ever find her." Artemis says.

"I'll cancel her torture the next time we're back in the Shadow Realm then. She is sort of our friend, and it'd be nice just to see her again." Shadow Stephanie says.

Angela seems to have been listening to the conversation, looking away quickly before she's too easily noticed.

"H-Huh? No, they were wrong!" Angela says, uncertain.

 

I look at Angela for a second before turning back to the two.
"Maybe that'll get her back? I don't know much about Shadow torture, but I'd think it'd easily be enough to drive a person away."

 

Angela seems to have been looking at you, quickly breaking eye contact as soon as you look at her, seeming to get a little more nervous.

"Imagine the worst pain you've ever experienced, then multiply that by ten thousand and have it last a thousand years, getting steadily worse. That's about what one second of our torture is like." Shadow Stephanie explains.

 

"Yeah, that'd easily drive someone away from their friends."

 

"I'm just messing with you! I never get to argue with someone bigger than me."

 

"Now that I think about it, it probably would." Shadow Stephanie says, thinking.

"I hope she's still alive..." Artemis says sadly.

"Oh, uh, ok." Angela says nervously, unsure what to say.

 

"She probably is, she's capable of handling herself."

 

The raptor runs off, distracted.

 

"She did move out of her parents house at a fairly young age, though how she had enough money to get her own place I don't know." Artemis says.

"Modern guardian stuff or something." Shadow Stephanie says, shrugging.

Angela just heads over to Katie, sticking near her.

"What's up, Angela?" Katie asks happily.

"Um, nothing, I just wanted to stay near you since you can defend yourself." Angela says with a nervous smile.

 

"I could help you with finding her. Thought she would think I'm a 'good' person when I'm with you."

 

"So, you still have to find these people for the tomes, right?"
I say, changing the subject.

 

The Matriarch soon comes over to the group carrying a painting, turning and running away once she spots Shadow Stephanie.

"Sgavrinn can find her. The two played with each other yesterday."

 

"Their parents, actually. We need their blood to activate the tomes, since the actual owners are, well, dead." Artemis says.

Shadow Stephanie appears in front of the Matriach.

"Going somewhere?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

 

"Well, them being here narrows our selection, yes? So finding them shouldn't be that hard."

 

"Alright. Guess I'll ask him."
Bardock stands up and walks towards Sgavrinn.
"Will you help me find the kitsune lady, Sgavrinn?"

 

"I have no idea who their parents are, though." Artemis says.

 

"We can go ask, now. There's only about a house-full of humans, or human-like creatures to choose from."
