To Gorreth: "Did the person you bought it from have any magical abilities, by any chance?"
To Tasha: "How much progress have you made on the scroll and, if so, what did it say?"

 

Gorreth: "No, he's just some generic villager shopkeeper dude."
He's the Weapon Merchant in Almuj. Just some villager selling weapons.
Tasha: "I've completed about 20% of the scroll. It appears to be a document about the ancient pharaoh of the pyramid."

 

To Tasha: "Anything about... Curses? Illusions?"

 

Tasha: "According to the scroll, he was a powerful sorcerer, although I don't believe he's related to this murder."

 

To Everyone "Do you know of any hallucinogens there? Something to cause you to hallucinate?"

(Theory: Krom is the murderer, but he only did it since he hallucinated that Vade was a monster or something... I need evidence, though.)

 

Everybody: "No."

 

Actually one more question to seal a motive:


To everybody (especially the lady who didnt like Vale): "How wealthy are you?"

I ask each of them, in such a location and timing that the others dont know I am asking the others: "Who do you think did it"

 

That question is the key to figuring this whole thing out.
Gorreth: "I'm not that rich. I own about 20 Emerald Blocks."
Tasha: "About 7 Liquid Emeralds."
Krom: "About 55 Emerald Blocks."
Ormrod: "About 11 Emerald Blocks."

As for who they think did it...
Gorreth: "Krom."
Tasha: "Krom."
Krom: "Ormrod."
Ormrod: "Gorreth."

 

That... was unexpected...

Every thinks Korm did it since he disliked Vale, but I'm more interested in the money aspect

Spoiler: Thing

Killer(s): Tasha, Garreth

Reasoning: Firstly, Tasha was a lower rank than Vale and Korm, so she wanted to move up in the world. But, she has to dispatch her superiors, or at least one of them. Now, Garreth is a Mercenary. He works for the highest payer. And since Vale witheld the 1 LE payment, he wasn't to friendly with Vale either. So Tasha, who we know is far more wealthy than any of the others, offered to pay Garreth to dispatch Vale. Garreth is known to dual wield knives. Since he has a water one, it makes sense that the Fire one used to kill Vale would be the other. But, he covered up buy buying a non-Elemental one. When asked about it, he says no, but he stutteres. Every time Garreth lies he gets a bit nervous, and starts stuttering. Furthermore, Garreth was gone the morning of the murder, as shown by the attack on Ormrod. Probobly setting up the murder location.

Overall, there is overwhelming evidence that Garreth did it. But he had no motive, but he is a mercinary. He does as he is payed. And the richest person in the camp just happens to be the one that's a lower rank than Vale.

What can I say? I'm a theorist. I figure things out, or fail trying!

Also, this was really fun! I'd love to see more!

 

I have some random details, like Ormrod having a sword, but not much. Also, a lot of what Gorreth said earlier was lying. I might do another murder mystery sometime, if I can come up with an idea.

 

This was fun. i was even the one who tipped of the dagger bit.
