Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

A minute later, the puppet resumes flying around in a circle.


"Just stop." Alice giggles, dropping the link.

 

Continually cautious, Voidfiller slowly approaches the lake and looks inside.

 

Fia watches the puppet, looking despondent.


I let the link drop, going back to what I was previously doing.

 

The water's foggy with a green hue, though Voidfiller feels relaxed once he touches the water.

It eventually lands, stopping.
"...Hey." Sapphire whispers.

 

Fia jumps, scared, before looking around.

 

"Do you have stuff with you to rest in the forest then? Because you said those vision wear you out."

 

Sapphire uncloaks.
"Figured I couldn't help you if I didn't know where to go."

"Yes, I'll be fine."

 

"Oh, right." Fia says, nodding.

 

The armor and the mask disappears as Voidfiller throws a stone into the water, seeing what happens.

 

"Just making sure. The forest can be dangerous at night."
Pause
"So... How about you tell me a bit about yourself?"

 

"I, uh... should leave before anyone else comes back, though. Sorry. Just... hang in there, I didn't forget you."

"Sure. I'm a draconian prophet, taken prisoner by a maniac named the Hive Master. I was freed recently, but... I was bound so tightly, I can no longer walk well." She says, sliding down one of her cuffs to reveal horribly deep chain indents.

Nothing strange happens.

 

Bardock looks at the wounds.
"I see. Permanent wounds, I take it?"

 

"Yes. Not even Gaia could heal them." She nods, sliding the cuff back.

 

Voidfiller tests if it can freeze the water.

 

"What about your little dragon friend? You're lucky he's with you."

 

It can't.

"He's a friend's pet. He's named Sgavrinn, and he's as sweet as a puppy... albeit bigger."

 

It tests if it can manipulate the water in any way without touching it.

 

"I see."
Pause
"So you're the prophet, huh?"

 

Fia gives a weak smile.

 

It can't.

"Yes... a bit underwhelming, I guess?"
