Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Death is nothing to fear." Emerald says, before attempting to warp straight back to the library.

 

"I know." Praecantatia mutters.

The abundance of magic around allows Emerald to easily get back to the library without much effort.

 

She seems to have left a tome behind...


Alice links to you.
"Hey, that ceasefire's been over for a couple hours now. You think my sisters are already back to dealing with hell in a handbasket?"

 

Fia walks over to the tome, looking at it.


"Probably," I say, "I should probably get back to your reality to shut the hive master up for a bit though."

 

"It's.. Bardock."
He pauses a second and looks at the draconian.
"Miss, are you feeling alright? You can barely stand."

 

"Great, I've got company" I think. Still having my eyes focused on the animal I shout: "What do you want?"

 

It's not titled, but there's a message written on the spine.
"I didn't forget you"


"Making him play cautiously buys us a lot of time, so yeah that'd be great."

"Nothing. I didn't know I was trespassing, my apologies."

"Yes, I'm fine... relatively speaking. I can't walk on my own, so that's a bad baseline... b-but I'm just a little lightheaded from all the visions I gave today."

 

Fia looks around, before sighing and sitting down next to the tome.


"I'm kind of busy right now. I'll drop by a bit later though." I say.

 

"Need a hand? I could carry you if you want."

 

"Who even are you and what could you possibly be doing in these ruins?" I say, curious, yet agitated.

 

Curious, Voidfiller lands on the island and looks around.

 

The small gryphon puppet from earlier starts flying around Fia.


"Alright. You should also get briefed on the last artifact's location soon, so be ready for that."

The foliage is thick and brimming with life energy, though there's a small feeling inside drawing Voidfiller to the center lake.

"I'm Bella, and I came here hoping that there were records of this kingdom that survived the Cataclysm."

"I, uh... appreciate the offer, but that's why I have him." She says, petting the dragon who starts humming happily.

 

Cautious, Voidfiller starts approaching the center.

 

Fia looks at it, smiling slightly.

One of the golems walking about the islands walks over to the puppet, concerned.


"Emerald?" I guess.

 

The foliage is hard to move through, branches pelting Voidfiller left and right as he goes.
The closer he gets, the harder it is to continue.

The puppet keeps flying about, seeming to only be there to amuse Fia.


Alice laughs.
"It'll be a bit of a surprise."

 

"Is there a reason why you're out in the wild? Don't you have a home of some sort?"

 

The golem tries to grab the puppet, seeming to be taking cautionary measures.


"You?" I guess.

 

Voidfiller stops, putting on a mask as a full suit of iron covers it. It then keep moving forward.

 

"My home has long since been destroyed. I like to wander."

He's able to overpower the foliage, the lake emitting a welcome feeling, as if urging you inside.

It's not hard to grab, and it just goes limp.


"That wouldn't be a surprise."

 

The golem looks the puppet over for a bit, Fia looks a little worried, before the golem just puts it down and continues on its way.


"My mother?" I randomly guess.
