Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Fair enough."
Pause.
"So, you came here out of curiosity?"

 

"Yeah, pretty much. Usually I just go town by town, seeing what each has to offer and what kind of people there are and what stories they tell."

 

"If you don't mind me asking, what stories do you have to tell?"

 

The pair continue on toward the spire, the orbs circling them seemingly disappearing as their appearances change to a pair of random female humans.

 

The guards let them near, though their disguises seem to be meaningless.
"Prime will meet you two at the top of the Spire. Make haste."

 

Caelia takes Praecantatia's hand, before looking to the top of the spire. Within a second, the pair are at the top of the spire, where Caelia was looking.

Praecantatia dispels the disguises, the orbs returning and slowly orbiting the pair.

 

The same man who greeted Praecantatia at the city wall seems to be waiting.
"Brought a friend, eh?"

 

"I was expecting someone else. Why are you here?" Praecantatia asks, suspicious.

 

"That's no way to talk to the mayor, lady." He scoffs.

 

"Oh, apologies. I was just worried this might've been a trap because we're expected to be here." Praecantatia apologises.

 

"I mean, it could be. Except I didn't feel the meed to set one, since I didn't expect hostility." He shrugs, juggling daggers out of boredom.
"You're waiting for Prime, right?"

 

"We are." Caelia answers.

 

"You definitely made haste. I told the guards to spur you along because I figured you'd take your sweet time. He didn't even get out of the city yet."

 

"As someone with powers of spatial manipulation, getting places quickly is a non-issue." Caelia states.

 

"Spoken like a true god. Anyways... what brings you down here? This place isn't known for tourism."

 

"I heard there was a candy shop, so I wanted to peruse their wares." Praecantatia explains.

"I was simply tracking Praecantatia down to make sure she wasn't causing problems." Caelia states.

 

"Spoken like sisters." He chuckles. "Well, I suppose I should stall you for an hour or so, but I feel like that'd be a bigger waste of my time than what I planned on doing today."

 

"We're not related." Caelia states bluntly.

"We don't need to be stalled, we can wait here." Praecantatia says with a cheerful smile.

 

"Works for me." He shrugs, hopping over the edge of the railing from the top of the Spire.

 

Praecantatia rushes over to watch, while Caelia stays where she is.
