Entry II

This. Weekend. Sucked!

I found a small room to stay in overnight, which wasn't so bad. However, everyone I tried to help while I was staying in Ragni used me as an errand boy! I visited the royal chef's house, and he tasked me with gathering ingredients for a cake. "Help defend the kingdom" The king said, and I'm helping make a cake!

That aside, it wasn't nearly as bad as the farmer I had to deal with. He lost his wedding ring, and like the great husband he is, he asks a random dude to find it. I found a small rusty silver ring that seemed to be right one, considering how great a husband he is. When I brought it to him, he put on a disgusted look on his face and told me it was a washer. I went back to look and got attacked by a giant rat. After barely killing the rat, it dropped a golden ring. I returned it to the farmer and he gave me a tiny amount of money...

He did tell me about heading off to Detlas, the main trade town of Wynn. I don't think it would be a good idea though. There's supposedly really powerful monsters between Ragni and Detlas, and it wouldn't be safe for someone as weak as me right now.

The only thing of importance I did was freeing a prisoner from the Ragni Prison. I'm still not sure why I did it, but he gave some keys he told me opened the entrance to a place called The Old Ragni Sewers. He said he was a member of the Resistance and that I've probably heard of them. I haven't. In order to free him, I had to explore Ragni's sewer system and find (again with the rats) a fat rat to retrieve the prison key. After finding the key, I gave it to the prisoner and he gave me a few emeralds and the keys I told you about earlier.

I just hope that in the coming days that I can do something substantial. Ragni sucks, however, the place really is beautiful. But the people who live there are incompetent and useless... This is Erin, concluding this entry.

Entry II

After building up enough courage, I finally decided to venture into Nivla Forest. Not a very nice place, upon entry I was immediately ambushed by gigantic spiders. Luckily I was saved by a technique I somehow remembered; the spin attack.

Eventually, after travelling through the spider-packed forest, I met a villager, who seemed totally lost. Apparently he wanted to get a herb called "saccharum" from the cave he was standing next to, but that it was infested with spiders. However, being the nice person that I supposedly am, decided to help me. A mistake I will never forget. The spiders in the cave weren't nearly as large as some outside, but there were dozens of them! They started biting me and tearing up my clothes, it was terrible! One of them dropped a dagger, how did the thing even get ahold of one? Anyway, I got the guy's saccharum and he gave me a whopping eighteen emeralds, what a rip-off! An experience that's definitely going in my diary.

I couldn't quite make out how to use the dagger, but I heard there was someone in the forest that could help me with that. After walking along the path for some time, I found him. He told me it was a switch blade, a very unique weapon. He also told me that his services would cost me. Well, there went all my money. These "villagers" as they call themselves sure are greedy. After testing my new weapon, which was much better than that stupid oak wood thing I had, I decided that the Nivla Forest wasn't the place for me, so I went west, to the coastal trail...

 

Haha, I was going to use that and Underwater for the next entry. That's a good explanation for the identifiers.
