Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The draconian takes an hourglass set above the one Voidfiller had looked at, though its bases are painted blue instead of a stained wood, and as the draconian turns it over, what looked like an empty hourglass suddenly contains the slow drip of a blood-colored fluid that trickles from the neck of one dragon and down the other.

"Each enchanted hourglass has a unique effect with its design."

 

"Are angels evil in this reality then?" Praecantatia asks.


Caelia warps the hellhounds far away from her, exploring the desert, mostly following the traces of Praecantatia.

 

"I doubt it." The harpy shrugs. "Ain't ever seen a nice one, though."


Praecantatia seems to have gone through some kind of fleshy... thing that's anchored in the ground, hellhounds now assuming Caelia is playing and swarming her on all sides.

 

"That's sort of sad. I'm not evil though, you can trust me." Praecantatia says happily.


Caelia lifts the hellhounds off the ground telekinetically and holds them in the air, allowing them just to float where they are. She then inspects the fleshy thing in the ground, curious.

 

"If you were, I'm sure lord Prime would have separated you and your soul."


They struggle, to no avail.

The thing opens multiple eyes.
"Oh boy, another goddess... what the hell's going on?" It asks, confused.

 

"Lord Prime?" Praecantatia asks nervously, frozen out of fear.


"I'm guessing a goddess with purple hair and eyes with an aura of magic about her came through here?" Caelia inquires.

 

"Yes. I wouldn't worry, though."


"Yep, not too long ago, either."

 

"Is he the god here?" Praecantatia asks, some of her nervousness melting away as she attempts to smile.


"Will you permit me to follow her?" Caelia inquires respectfully, raising an eyebrow as she looks the fleshy portal in the eye.

 

"Yeah, lord of the underworld and everything. Pretty much the only one our mayor'll take orders from at all."


"If you can shrink yourself, sure." It says, rows of teeth unmeshing to reveal a wormhole...
...This creature is a terrible pun.

 

"Where can I find him?" Praecantatia asks, a slight sense of urgency in her voice as she shifts about a bit.


Caelia shrinks herself to her relative size as mortal adult, before jumping into the creature's mouth.

 

"I dunno. Find a lost soul, and lord Prime usually ain't far behind."


She lands on slightly fleshy ground, a city in view absurdly far away.
"Hope you enjoy your stay! Or, well... don't have hard feelings about the fact that this place isn't all that great. It is the underworld..."

 

"Oh, ok. Thanks for the help!" Praecantatia says happily, before running off in search of a lost soul, sliding her metal rimmed goggles down over her eyes and adjusting the band holding them onto her head.


"Thanks." Caelia says, focusing her power for a moment before warping to the city, taking a moment to catch her breath after arriving.

 

There don't seem to be any in the city, though some shops seem to hold strange portals.


The guard keep an eye on her, but say nothing as they open the gates to the city.

 

"Well, I'm interested, if you elaborate a bit more."

 

Praecantatia enters one of the shops with a portal, looking for it's shopkeeper.


"Thank you." Caelia says respectfully, entering the city.

 

"It's just a visual enchantment, but all of them have painted bases. I think I have five different enchanted designs...?"

There's a half-spider hanging from the ceiling.
"Welcome! I see you've already visited the bake shop."


There's a huge tower straight ahead, but there's signs of Praecantatia nearby - especially near a bake shop.

 

"Interesting."
Voidfiller slowly gets more coins.

 

"So, you want the enchanted one or the unenchanted one?" They ask, setting both on the counter.

 

"I'll take the enchanted one."
Voidfiller says, neatly putting down five stacks of five coins.

 

They put the other one back, taking the coins and sliding the hourglass towards Voidfiller.
"Thanks! And, uh... I know it goes without saying, but since it's made of glass it's inherently fragile. Don't drop it or anything."
