Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Oh. I thought it'd be interesting to try candy from another reality." Praecantatia says, a little disheartened.


"Curiosity mostly. This reality was recommended to me by another goddess of my own reality, Gaia." Caelia says.

 

She glances back to make sure it's following, but after a few minutes it's led to a small cabin next to a larger building.
"You'll be monitored, but everything's there. We'll come get you for breakfast and an interrogation at ten in the morn."

"Five open portals in the portal room. I hear the underworld has a good sweets shop."


"I suppose Xlentia got lonely and asked a few of you to come over?"

 

"Really? Where's the underworld?" Praecantatia asks excitedly.


"If that is a common thing for her to do, then I can only assume so." Caelia says, shrugging.

 

"Aight. I'll take care of the arena in the morning, too."
It says, going in the cabin and looking around.

 

"Entelp, and through the warpwyrm. It's a long trip straight east, but you can probably teleport a few thousand miles at a time so it'd be okay."


"Not to reach out. She's usually just cooped up in her chambers."

It's a bit small, but it has a bed, a heater, ventilation, a bathroom, and a closet. Decent enough place to be held overnight, and sure beats a prison cell.

 

The thing lays on the bed and immediately passes out.

The arena fight ends up working, the warrior getting grounded by the mage and killed by the beast near the end, but the archer manages to eventually get the flag to their circle, winning the game for the archer and the warrior.

 

Praecantatia gasps excitedly, darting out of the archives and jumping down to the bottom floor of the library, seeming to take no damage from the fall as she gets back up and runs to the portal room.

Fia stays behind, looking around a little nervously.

"Um..." Fia says, unsure.


"Sounds like quite the shut in." Caelia comments.

 

The crowd slowly disperses once it's over...


In the morning, there's a knock on its cabin door.

 

It takes about half a minute for the thing to get up, but eventually it does, opening the door.

 

"Feel free to look around. I don't know what you like, but if reading's your thing, you have your pick of a few billion books. If not, there's other places to explore." Emerald says.

Five portals, though the one labelled 'Entelp' leads to... what looks like a really long drop with a random rose levitating near the bottom.


"She is..."

"You want to eat first, or get the interrogation over with?"

 

"Interrogation."
It says, summoning a muffin and taking a bite.

 

"Follow me." She says, heading towards the main building.

 

"O-Ok, um..." Fia says nervously, trying to build up a bit of confidence, "W-Were you really serious about trying to...bring me to life?"


Praecantatia darts through, levitating above the drop and looking around for a portal to the underworld.


"That's unfortunate. Any particular reason?" Caelia asks.

 

It does, seemingly thinking about something, but then it stops and just follows, eating the muffin.

 

"Me personally? I don't have time. However, there are a few others who are."

There... is no drop. It's just perfectly clear ice, it turns out.
Over in the desert, hellhounds roam around a spaceship wreck and an odd flesh-and-bone creature seems to sit dormant just above the sand.


"Yes, the mortal we call The Hive Master. He seeks to enslave the high gods in order to rebel against their order."

Once inside, she leads you down a staircase and through a few hallways, opening the door and stopping at a small room with only a table and two chairs.

 

The muffin gone, the thing wipes its face before taking a seat in one of the chairs.

 

A few minutes later, the supervisor walks in, still in full armor.

"...You again?"

 

"Hey."
It just says, nodding.

 

"So, you've got a name other than Maxwell. Let's start with that, shall we?"

 

"Voidfiller."
Voidfiller says, making a little rainbow.
"Hence the power to make things."
