Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Well, it's exactly what I asked about."
The thing takes out a gold coin, handing it to the worker.
"One of the blue drinks and the darkest red drink you have. Keep the change."

 

The worker nods, taking the coin and, a minute later, reemerges with the requested drinks.

 

"Thank you."
The thing says, taking its time to drink the red drink, then the blue one.

 

Both are just as good as the samples, just... in bigger mugs.


Someone taps Enhanced's shoulder.

 

The thing takes a a while to relax and enjoy their drink before leaving.

I turn around, wondering who it is.

 

I desummon my scythe, teleport directly in front of the draconian, and punch him.

 

It... appears to be Ihra.
"Ah, crap, you aren't who I hoped you were. Sorry... you saw nothing." She whispers, blinking off.

That earns you a ton of electricity coursing through you, but it knocks him back enough that he lost the momentum needed to keep his chainblades effective.

 

"Bring her back to life, but do it in a high security holding cell." I command, the scientists getting back to work on researching how they can ressurect Ruby.

 

Her remains seem sufficient to clone a frail draconian body, but anything else is left to speculation.

 

The scientists work on the creation of a hopefully stronger body based on scans of other draconians.

 

It seems easy to make a much stronger body, though caution is advised, seeing as they're dealing with Ruby.

 

The scientists work on the creation of the body in a protected room that'd be near impossible to break out of, preparing some cuffs for the body once complete.

 

Now it's just a matter of putting the soul in the body... though that seems to already be in progress. Ruby seems to be hoping to rush things.

 

The scientists cuff the body's hands behind it's back and legs together before working on channeling Ruby's soul into it.

 

Channeling goes quickly, Ruby opening her eyes and sighing once she realizes struggling isn't going to help her out of the cuffs.

"Oh, how humiliating..." She grumbles.

 

Some of the scientists leave and bring me to the holding cell.

"Well, well, well. If it isn't Ruby," I say with a sinister smile, "Don't worry, I'm not going to keep you here forever, just until I know you're not the same murderous...criminal you used to be."

 

"Look, you. I don't even know you, so I'm hoping you'll run your mouth about how you know me so I don't have to weed it out of you." She growls, defiant.

 

"Playing the amnesiac card? I thought so much better of you," I say, "Perhaps this will jog your memory a bit."

I summon a white crystal, focusing my power into it for a moment before it becomes a large screen, showing my memory of the first time I encountered Ruby.

 

She looks at it carefully before laughing.
"That's a joke, right? I'd remember someone who did me any favors, though I suppose that means now you'll stick."

 

"Give up the act, Ruby. You're not fooling anybody," I say, "Or perhaps you'd like a meeting with the queen, who you almost killed. I'm sure she'd have some blunt words for you."
