Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Maybe it's just my memory... I'd hate it if age is finally catching up to me." She says.

 

"How old are you?" Maru asks.

 

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you... So let's just call me a millennia old and I'll put up with that much disbelief for now." Alice groans.

 

"Well, you are a Shadow, so age needs to be multiplied a little to attribute it to our own." Maru says, chuckling.

 

"I meant, before I was a shadow. Since you seem more open than others, let's just say I am... well, the term 'demigod' will work for now, seeing as that is what Lady Tenebrae permitted me to be reborn as." Alice sighs. "I've brought mayor Louis to my real home... and I had to bring him back unconscious. The shock got to him, but so did the healers there."

 

"Do you have some new technology or abilities where you normally live? Like, some kind of supercharged battery?" Maru asks happily.

 

"Humans at that place, then?"

 

"My... home is now war torn. But yes, we had all that and more." She sighs. "I... personally have the ability to distort reality. At home... that means I can create, and destroy, black holes."
Pause.
"I, uh... I'm sorry. That probably sounds like bullshit."

"It's kind of hard to believe, but I trust you." Maru says.

 

"Huh. I'm not going to inquire on that. Well, thanks for the tip."

 

"If you promise not to faint, I can show you the library of the goddess I used to serve." Alice offers. "After this, of course."

"Yeah, of course. Don't make me regret my decision, okay?"

 

"I won't. Once again, if I wanted to mess something up, I would've broken in. See you around."
It says, then heads off towards what looks like the center.

 

The guard waves, the center of town too busy to be slowed by the odd looks it gets.

 

"Yeah, I need to make sure Holly is ok." Maru says, approaching the shore of the lake where Harvey seems to be checking Holly over.

 

Alice pauses.
"If there's a bill, I'll pay. I have to go back in the mines for a bit." She says, running off and going back down to the floor Alice found Holly in.

 

It just ignores the looks anyways, searching for the Vortex.

 

"Vortex" seems to be in a bit of an alley, rather busy as a line extends out the entryway.

 

The thing checks if it can see inside to get a peek before going in the line.

 

Way too crowded for that, it seems.

 

It tries to find the Maw before doing anything else.
