What a pleasant night.

We were all lying in our beds, without a care in the world. We made sure to lock the doors this time. The windows were boarded; the chimney was plugged after the fire was washed out; the holes in the floor were patched. It seemed like an attack was impossible.

Halfway between the sunset and sunrise, three people, huddled together in a small home near the powder master’s, witnessed an attack outside their doors. Someone sprung up on a lone wanderer, weapon bared. But the person retaliated, and it soon morphed into an all-out brawl. The three by the window watched quietly through gaps between the boards as one eventually drove the other away. Neither seemed to be badly injured.

Light soon covered the city as another day sprung upon us. We hastily searched the city the moment we felt safe enough to leave the comfort of our homes. The bank, the shops, the roads, the alleys, the roads. No body was recovered.

No-one has died!
