Then again, you shouldn't take my words to heart. After all, I am a Mafia member and it was Chigo_ who got me into this pickle. Though an investigation doesn't hurt, does it?

It seemed to be unanimously agreed that Gigavern must be eliminated, and as the day began, that’s what we immediately set out to do. We tracked him down before finally locating him in the place he had been resting - against a wall near the edge of the city. For all we knew, he had been there for days.

We approached and prepared to hurt him in any way we could. He was idly fiddling with the hilt of his knife as though anticipating a result, not seeming to notice the crowd gathering around.

Someone made the first move and kicked him in the face as we pinned him to the wall. An executioner stepped forward with a massive weapon that looked like it could crush a boulder. It was swung.

But it was slow. Gigavern wrestled his way out of the crowd, just as the weapon cracked the stone where his head had been, and made a break for it. We split up to try to head him off. We rounded the corner, and…

He was gone.

Looking around, the only place he could have ran to was a little building that we recognized as the event hall. We poured in through the door after checking the windows for signs of damage.

The attendance room was dusty and not at all like its usual self. It smelled like mildew. The desk was bare of any posters or cards; the room was completely unlit; the door to the ballroom was locked. We tried to open it. There was no way anyone could have gotten in - even Gigavern. Where was he, then?

Right as the last person turned to leave, something emerged from the keyhole. It was a cloud of mist that dashed over our heads and slipped through the door to the outside. Following it was a sound like moaning, like a spirit that had been resting for too long.

“I recognize that voice!” said about three different people instantly. The rest of us had to think to realize who it was - but we definitely knew.

“Does that sound like...ElectroMantis?...”

As for Gigavern? Nobody could say where he might have gone. We can only guess.

No-one was lynched!
