Is "the Beast" Supposed To Be This Freaking Difficult?!?!

I'm a level 58 Assassin. I'm trying to get the Marius' Prison chest plate. The problem is, I can't beat "The Beast" to save my life! Is he supposed to be this difficult for Assassin's or am I doing something completely wrong? I have developed a strategy that allows me to kill both forms of "The Enslaved" and the first form of "The Beast" But even this strategy is difficult for me to pull off without buying a metric ton of potions! And EVEN THEN it is difficult for me to pull off. Just to put this in perspective. I beat "Olux Plague Doctor", a level 60 boss I might add, my SECOND try! But I have tried, and failed, to kill "The Beast" at least 10 times, maybe more. I know I can have friends to help me but they could end up getting the last hit on him by accident and then I wouldn't be able to pick up Marius' Prison, which is untradeable by the way. I honestly don't know what to do! So, some help would be MUCH appreciated. :)

 

what items do you even have and do you spam hp pots?

 

it should be easy.. just takes a bit to kill, try getting under an area where he can't hit you and spam spells as much as possible.

 

please give us your armour names and weapon.

 

Helm- Plague Mask
Chest- Nesaak's Shadow
Legs- Culex
Boots- Philophobia

Ring 1- Quartron's Eye
Ring 2- Firecloud
Bracelet- Gilden Cuff
Necklace- Constrict Collar

Weapon- Reaper of Souls

I only use hp pots when I am very low on health.

I would when "The Enslaved" is dead the ceiling does this Stupidly ANNOYING thing where it teleports you up to the ceiling and then drops you. So even if I was in an area where he couldn't hit me the ceiling would pull me out.

You can use friends and still pick up the item as long as you do 15% of the damage

 

You may be doing a type of damage that this boss has high resistance to. If this is the case, it will be difficult to beat the boss unless you get a weapon with a different type of damage

 

I'm using the Reaper of Souls. It does Nutruel Damage

 

It's not about last hit, it's about dealing 15% of the damage (or 25%? I don't remember). Go get a friend.
