Alice takes the notepad and pencil and takes them back inside.

 

It catches the coin fairly effortlessly.
"Give a man some time, eh?"

 

Artemis heads off into town, the tree she slept in no longer covered in thorns.

 

"No time like th' present."

Sgavrinn trails her once again.

 

Artemis heads back to the lake, growing a small bonsai tree and gently placing the note in it, facing toward the lake before turning around and noticing Sgavrinn.

"Hey boy!" Artemis says happily, petting Sgavrinn.

 

He hums.
"Is that for miss Holly?" He asks. "She pet me." He says happily.

 

"Yes, I hope she receives it." Artemis says, glancing back at the note.

 

"I want to meet her again."

 

"That's my problem."
It says, looking for a bartender to call over.

 

"Hopefully you'll be able to." Artemis says, smiling.

 

"Yay!"

"I gotcha." She says, pelting a coin at the bartender and pointing to it.

A runner brings it a drink.

 

Artemis heads to the community centre, entering it and looking around.

 

"You just fuckin' gave me a coin. I'm not poor."
It jokingly says, offering the first coin back.

 

"Don't care. Hit th' barkeep with it."

It's as broken as ever.

 

I teleport in front of the draconian, swinging my scythe at a low angle to hit their legs before teleporting back.

 

"I'm not that much of a drunkard. I usually pace myself. And I'd rather not injure the one who's serving me."

 

Your scythe gets caught in their chainblades, sending a massive current through you as he struggles to get it free.

"Git used to th' ways here."

 

The thing sighs.
"So, I take it you're a regular here?"

 

Artemis looks around for the faeries, before eventually finding one in the room with the golden scroll, carefully and cautiously approaching it. Artemis, taking a passive stance, gently greets the faerie before starting to talk to her.

 

Sgavrinn waits outside, curling up at the door.

"Not quite."
