Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Any warnings?"

"Right. Sit down and don't cause trouble." He says, holding his hand out.

 

"Try not to scare them, otherwise you won't get anywhere." The wizard says.

 

"It's hard not to scare them. They run from everything."

 

"I believe they're running from a being of darkness." The wizard says.

 

"Yes, sir."
The thing makes an ice staircase up to the boat, handing the man the coin and boarding.

 

"I flat out can't do anything about that, and they've ran from more than just me. Actually... maybe I'll hve my sister help with that."

The crew pays it little mind as they make their way back to shore, which takes a good hour.

 

The thing lounges around until then, getting off when it seems right.

 

"Well, they have reason to fear people. Being as small as they are they're much easier to capture." The wizard says.

 

The docks are fairly busy, most people not even looking at it.

"I'll try something later tonight." Alice says, leaving. "And thanks."

 

"No problem." The wizard says.

 

It disguises as a human, no longer constantly changing, and walks around to see what there is around.

 

Alice leaves, heading back home and making some tea.

The docks have a few shops for fisherman's gear and a few bars, but nothing much other than that.
There's a small town behind the port.

 

Artemis seems to be awake, waiting on Alice's porch when she gets back.

"Hey, Alice. Can I borrow some paper and a pencil?" Artemis asks.

 

"You can take ten notebooks if you want." Alice says, going inside and soon returning with the requested pencil and a notepad.

 

The thing heads to the town, checking it out.

 

"Thanks!" Artemis says happily, taking both and beginning to write on the first page of the notepad.

 

"Are you going to opt to leave a note?" Alice asks, checking the time.

It's quiet, but much more developed than the one protected by the barrier. The citizens seem to mostly ignore it.

 

Artemis nods.

It's still quite early in the morning, only half past ten.

 

It jogs around a bit, seeing what shops or other buildings there are.

 

Alice sighs.
"Well, I'll be back soon. Hopefully with Sapphire."
