Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

She opts to ignore it, going to the cave below her house and looking at the view from a lower point.

 

"Just testing things out. If you're really annoyed with me being here, I can get going."

 

Alice can see a few other ledges on the opposing mountainside, and what looks like a blue...thing. It's rather hard to make out from the distance.

 

"Starting to get annoyed." She sighs, Claire just watching silently.

She summons a parasol and opts to move towards the blue thing.

 

"You sure I can't talk to this goddess person?"

 

It'd be quite hard to get to the blue thing without flight or heading to the ground below, the drop quite large.

 

Alice opts to take the draining method, using spatial distortion to let her walk midair as she makes a beeline to the blue thing.

"I could see if she's less busy next week."

 

Once Alice gets closer, she can see it's in fact a blue backpack, hanging from a tree branch sticking out from a ledge.

 

"'Aight. See you around, then."
The thing tosses Claire another skinned rabbit before flying down, leaving.

 

Alice checks for any traces of its owner, also keeping an eye on anyone or anything nearby.

Claire snaps it up before flying right through the barrier.

A few fishing boats are passing by underneath, but the ocean seems rather calm besides that.

 

The backpack seems rather old, and what looks like a name on a name tag part of the backpack seems to have been weathered away.

 

Alice cautiously takes it off the branch, checking its contents.

 

There appears to be a walkie talkie, a mobile phone, a broken flashlight, a few tins of food and empty bottles of water and a sketchbook with pencils and paints inside. Everything inside looks old and weathered, however.

 

Confused, Alice checks the sketchbook.

 

The thing flies down, freezing the water to lead near a boat.

 

There's some drawings of people and landscapes inside, as well as some more unreal and cartoonish looking characters. Some drawings are coloured while others are just sketches.

 

The crew gives it an odd look, trying to ignore it.

Alice closes it, taking the bag and going towards the wizard's tower.

 

"'Ey!"
The thing calls up, trying to get their attention.

 

The forest appears to be a little thicker today, though Alice doesn't have too much trouble getting through it.

 

She knocks on the door if it doesn't open on its own.

The captain looks back.
"What the hell are you?" He calls.
