Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"As neutral as I find you to be, I still suggest you leave. Claire's riled up at you and I suppose you're not big on her trying to eat you."

 

"Riled up? I've got stuff for agitation. Food, mostly. What's Claire eat?"
The thing seems to have tensed up a bit, but it's barely noticeable.

 

"I prefer not to watch. Witnessing bloodshed and chaos is my sister's passion, not mine."

 

The water is calm, ripples dancing along it's surface caused by fish. Artemis carefully cooks and eventually eats her fish as the day goes by, the evening soon approaching.

 

The thing thinks for a bit, before summoning a skinned rabbit, offering it to Claire.

 

Sgavrinn tries using a vine net to catch another fish for himself, but the gaps are too wide to actually keep the fish in the net.

The rider turns away as Claire bites the thing's hand a bit while essentially crushing the rabbit into mush in one chomp.

 

Artemis snags the fish herself, letting Sgavrinn take control of the vine she caught it with.

 

He brings it out of the water and eats it, wiping his snout again before just laying still and eventually letting out a quiet snore.

 

Artemis gently shakes Sgavrinn to wake him up again.

"Come on, let's go to Alice's place to sleep." Artemis says, getting up.

 

Yawning, he slowly gets up and starts following her back.

 

Artemis heads back to Alice's home, climbing into a nearby tree and checking Sgavrinn to see if he settles himself down.

 

Sgavrinn takes a while, but he opts to do so closer to the river.

 

The stream running through Alice's house is very calming, the sound of the running water making it easier to sleep.

 

Sgavrinn quickly dozes off after shifting a bit to let his tai float in the current.

 

Expecting it, the thing takes the hit, letting go of the rabbit and clenching in pain, but not saying a word.

 

Beast and rider remain silent, both still keeping an eye on it.

Alice tries to trace the magic she presumes is in use to the user.

 

Nobody disturbs Sgavrinn or Alice through the night, though Alice notices a small wall of thorns around and crawling up the tree Artemis is sleeping in come morning.

 

Its next form just has flippers, then it gets a form with hands, and stretches the new hand out a bit before opening his eyes.
"So you eat rabbit."
It concludes.

 

"Duh." The rider sighs, impatient.

 

Alice can easily see the magic tracing back to Artemis, still unconscious in the tree.
