Yet Another Server That Loves Wynn Too Much

Well I meant is it another Minecraft rpg or something. I know zentrela didn't steal the map

I had to do investigation of my own...

Observations:
They did "alter" the layout of detlas, but that could still be considered plagiarism.
It seemed to be just Detlas since there was no land outside the map.
It was the version of Detlas after the Gavel update.

Then I looked into their listed builders:

dalpy hasn't joined Wynncraft.

So 2 of the 3 builders have joined Wynncraft, haven't played much, but were seen about a year ago.
Patch notes started towards the end of January in 2016. I don't want to fish through patch notes to find when Detlas made it on their server, but my hypothesis was around the time MrSwaggyPanda last joined Wynncraft, which was on May 30th 2016.

Now the Owner of the server, (https://wynncraft.com/stats/player/iBasss) joined about a year ago on May 17th 2016. 13 days before their builder was last seen.

Since both the builders and the owner were last seen on May of 2016, since they all are only leveled high enough to go to Detlas, and since Gavel came out in 2015, it is implied that the map was either downloaded then or was copied by hand. The detail is impeccable, so I'm going to assume it was downloaded.

Since this investigation is written chronologically, I ended up pursuing the patch notes and my hypothesis about them was right. On June 3rd of 2016, only a few days after members of their staff/build teams were on Wynncraft, this patch note was released:

Patch Notes 12:
"Voting crates have been added to Factions and Skyblock
Skyblock spawn has been renewed
Skyblock now has jobs that you can earn money with
Skyblock now has artifacts that you randomly earn from mining any block or killing any mob
Skyblock now has random ore generation from cobblestone generators
Mob spawning in Factions and Skyblock has been fixed
Various other small improvements and changes globally"

Conclusion:
Although they modified Detlas, they still copied Wynncraft's builds. We know when they did, and probably can conclude how they did.

Is anything gonna happen to that server? Or do they just have to change the map?

 

As far as I'm aware, the builders listed in @colin350 s post will probably be banned for downloading the map without permission, but they can't exactly force them to change the map.

Update: @Headset_O confirmed some builds from Katoa ranch were pasted into Detlas, namely some of the ones he built.
I had hope the copycat builders would perhaps put original builds there, but guess that's not true.

Wynncraft, as a company, is decently big I would imagine, and definitely has atleast 1 trademark, which means that they have a lawyer, meaning if this server gets in competitions way wynncraft could probably take them down as long as they dont change their spawn.
