Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Sgavrinn eats the fish rather quickly, wiping his snout down before nuzzling Artemis.

 

Artemis pets Sgavrinn, growing a few sticks out of the ground before grabbing a piece of flint from the water, striking it against the crystal on her bow and lighting a small fire to cook her fish with.

 

Sgavrinn backs away from the fire, but otherwise stays still and watches the water.

 

"What? 'zat bother you? I'm the rubber monster with the amazing ability to nullify electrical power."
The thing says jokingly, flailing their rubber-encase arms around.
"Rawr."

 

"I suggest you back off before you anger her further." The rider calls.

 

"I'm just joking around."
The thing backs up a tiny bit.
"But I'm keeping this rubber on."

 

"I don't think a little rubber has ever stopped Claire. Now, I suggest you leave before she decides not to listen to me."

 

"I didn't think so,"
The thing says, hastily downing a newly formed yellow drink.
"But Claire, huh? What's your name, them?"

 

"Better question - why are you so interested in my people?"

 

"You're very tense. Good for a guard. But I told you, I'm curious as to why a place like this has protection like this. And I'm bored. I'm fairly bored."

 

"I already told you, and if you weren't satisfied with my answer, I suggest finding someone else who will give you one you will be satisfied with."

 

"You said there was a goddess?"

 

"Yes, but she is too busy to speak with anyone."

 

"Doin' what?"

 

"Does it matter?"

 

"Well what's she the goddess of?"

 

"Storms. Wasn't the barrier a dead giveaway?"

 

"Well, I dunno. Magic comes in several forms."

 

"You think a goddess of storms might like - oh, you know - living near storms?"

 

"I know a goddess of destruction that lives in a palace. I don't assume things about people before meeting them... Often."
