Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Inside is an island village, small with little technological development.

 

"Well...Myria and I are just your owners," Artemis says, careful with her words, "Anyway, I should be over any moment now!"

 

The thing flies around, exploring the village from above.

 

"Aww, okay... see you soon!" He says.

Every house is small, and there's only three brick buildings. Everything else is wooden, except for a single metal statue.

 

A few minutes later, Artemis steps through the portal Alice left behind. She looks a little different, however, wearing her wooden armour with light wooden gauntlets on her hands. Her hair appears to be tied in a ponytail, and her wooden mask rests on top of her head.

 

The thing lands and retracts its wings, observing the statue.

 

Sgavrinn sniffs at her armor as Alice waves her over to the porch.

It seems to depict gale winds in an artistic way, a lightning bolt shape on top pointing skywards.

 

The thing walks around, checking out the nearest brick building.

 

All three are in a group, and they all seem to be government buildings.

 

Artemis' armour smells like freshly cut wood, most likely still fresh.

Artemis heads over to Alice's porch.

"You have some really nice scenery here." Artemis compliments.

 

The thing checks out a random one, entering it if possible.

 

"Yeah, the view alone was worth paying over list price. The town's nice, too... I was just hoping maybe you could help me talk to my mayor a bit. There's something bothering him and I want to fix it."

Upon entering, he sees a few people working in separate offices, papers posted everywhere on the walls.

 

"Oh, what's that?" Artemis asks.

 

The thing reads some of the papers.

 

Alice seems a bit confused, but eventually stands up.
"I'll have you meet him. It'll be easier to explain with him in the conversation."

They seem to be records and data, all handwritten and some scratch work for math on the margins of a few.

 

"Ok." Artemis says cheerily.

 

The thing walks around more, checking out what kind of work is being done.

 

Alice heads over to the main part of town and looks for Louis.

 

Louis doesn't appear to be in the town, though quite a few people notice Artemis.

 

Some are recording births, others tracking polls or simply keeping records of resources.

Alice approaches one.
"Excuse me, do you know where Louis is?"
