    You're right, but only if you count the 3 as being parentheses and thus doing 2x3 before dividing 36. In other words, it'd be 36/6 + 4 which is 6 + 4 or 10.

    Since my memory on PEMDAS isn't all that great, I can't be sure, but I'm pretty sure 2(3) just counts as multiplication, so you'd do 36/2 and then triple it, which is 54. +4 means 58.

    @Thunder does this actually have an answer or what

    6^6 = 36 / 6 + 4

    You always go down the Letters
    P = Parenthesis
    E = Exponent
    M = Multiplication
    D = Division
    A = Addition
    S = Subtraction

    I'm pretty sure multiplying goes before dividing, so the answear is 10 I guess.

    In the case of PEMDAS or PEDMAS, when faced with multiplication or division, you do them in the order that they appear. So, you would do the division first. So,

    6^2 / 2(3) + 4

    36 / 2(3) + 4

    18(3) + 4

    54 + 4

    58

    the space is trying to mess with you, but the 2(3) just means 2*3, so
    6²/2(3)+4

    parenthesis are already simplified, so simplify exponents

    36/2*3+4

    multiply/divide left to right
    18*3+4

    repeat
    54+4

    finally, addition/subtraction, left to right
    58

    you would only do 2*3 if they were both in parenthesis (2*3) but they aren't.

    if you want to to do (6^2)/(2*3)+4 you should look at the problem the equation comes from amd see if the equation is fitting

    The math problem is incomplete. 2(3) could be a term on it's own, or 2 could be divided first. You left out vital parentheses that specify the order of operations.
