With the way he kept eyeing her, Erin knew the human warrior wouldn't give up so easily, but she needed him to; certain responsibilities called to her. Still and all she politely listened on to what he had to say, but of course, what he had next proposed caught her a bit of guard, though she'd like to think that the surprise she recieved was well-hidden through years of practice. What he offered was an adventurer according to her schedule. In spite of being tempting, she knew she could never accept to something like that: it was much too invasive.

So, she shook her head, the smile on her face unintentionally faltering even more.

"She would love to enlist in this 'venture, duties a great wealth of duties call upon her. So," Erin offers them a slight bow, trying her best to prevent the sadness tinge in her voice, "she would like to respectfully decline."

(I truly do want to take part in an adventure but this schedule I own dogs me like Seaworld keeps its orcas. In the mornings, I either go to the gym or run; which keeps me in shape out of season. While in the evenings, I intern at a firm whose work follows me when I'm online WynnCraft beforehand. Even then, I'm usually working in between meetings with clients. But on the days I do get off (not including the weekends 'cause those days are indefinitely dedicated to friends and family), it's either Date or Game Night.)

A broom is in the hands of the shopkeeper when the Gallus adventurer approaches her with his head hung low. Upon lifting it, he tells Erin of his decision to cancel the meeting due to their conflicting schedules while she nods in understanding; she herself knowing the problems that arise from a bad account of availability.

"I understand, my feathered friend. Do know that you are always welcome in the Forge."

The Smith threw the adventurer another kind smile before offering him a slight bow.

(Eh, I wasn't planning on it taking an entire evening; more like an hour or two whenever you were free, but I understand if your responsibilities carry too much weight on your schedule :) )

Jeff stopped his circling, trying to keep his smile up and legitimate, although the weight of disappointment pulled on it. He eventually gave up on the idea, stopping in front of Erin. He sighed, but gave her a modest, understanding smile afterwards.

"Guess I can still see you during shop hours, huh? You lead quite the busy life, Erin."

He saw the sadness through those silver crystal eyes, and it pained him. "One day I'll catch her schedule off guard; find an opening, but until then this'll have to stay this way."

 

After a modest term of slumber, the Smith awakens with a refreshed smile adorning her face before she readying herself for the day. Strolling out of the en suite, Erin then makes her way to the larhe double doors of the forge before throwing the two doors opening. Soon enough, adventurers spill into the shop to search of wares, but one particular traveller makes their way towards the shopkeeper with a bright smile spread across their lips.

"Hullo, my friend! It seems that the stars have once again aligned," she chuckles before returning the smile. "And I would gladly equip you with the Ivory #1. When would you like to pick it up?"

 

I could pick it up now if it's ready.

The marketeer noticed the weight of dissapointment weighing on Jeff, but she nodded it off anyway, not wanting to ruin the day with talk of her terrible schedule.

"There seems to be another occasion needing to be brought up, my friend," she smiled. "Happy Birthday, Jeff!"

As another adventurer leaves the forge's grounds, the merchant waves to him as a wide smile tugs across her face. Though, before she can head back inside the shop, another traveller approaches her, inquiring about the other half of the powders the other Wynncraftian had just left with.

"It seems that another gentleman has bought the same powders! But, if you're still interested, I still have 4x Powders in stock."

While relighting a burnt out candle in the front corner of her shop, an adventurer approaches the pin-stripped marketeer with a finger pointed at a certain item.

"Ah, yes. I'd gladly equip you with the spear. Where shall we meet?"

The merchant ponders on the offer for a moment before nodding.

Taken quite aback by this, Jeff's eyes widen. He chuckles awkwardly and rubs the back of his neck with his right hand, breaking eye contact.

"Aww, thanks Erin! But in the middle of your store though? Geez, ya couldn't have waited?" His voice rang slightly sour, but he was fighting a losing battle with a grin, some slight color returning to his cheeks.

"Oh right; in all my business and work this week, I forgot I turn 20 today!"
