Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

It seems to have been recording the birthday event, page 1 playing a small-scale recording of your initial reaction.

The next gift is Amber's, and it seems to be a box with some ashes in it.
"I... didn't know if you actually wanted these, but I found Ruby's remains scattered about the realm. I figured you would know what you wanted to do with them." She says. "I know it's a crappy gift, but you don't seem big into reading about military strategy."

"He's still opening, so we still have time. You want to do it?"

"Thanks... trying to, anyways."

 

"Ehm..."
Crystal thinks.

I smile before looking towards Aj and what he's opening.

 

"It's not actually a crappy gift. With these, I could probably work toward reviving her, or at least trying to make some kind of spiritual connection to her. Thanks, Amber." I say, smiling.

"For my sake, can you maybe hold off on trying to revive the person that almost completely killed me?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

I think for a moment, before nodding, taking another gift happily.

 

"Not many left, just saying."

He's opening what seems to be a joke gift - a pumpkin with a carved face.

This one's tagged "From Amethyst" and contains a pumpkin with a carved face.
"She communicated to me that she didn't like your joke, but said that she does appreciate a little humor." Emerald says.

 

"What was my joke to her again?" I ask, though clearly amused.

 

"No, no, I don't really wanna do it."

I just keep watching.

 

Emerald shows you a hologram of you joking about putting a jack-o-lantern on the headless draconian you found in the underworld.

"Okay, that's fine. Just a thought."

 

"Oh yeah! Admittedly she would look funnier," I say, my head changing size and shape to allow me to put the pumpkin in it's place, "See? She'd look way funnier."

I remove the pumpkin from my head after a moment, taking another gift happily.

 

"It was a good idea, though."

 

Emerald rolls her eyes, Amber laughing.

The last one seems to be from Sivius, though he isn't here. Inside is a bottle of specter's blood and a dagger infused with darkness.

"Thanks." Rineth says, looking at the now empty table.

 

"Whoa, cool." I say, looking at the dagger and the bottle of blood.

"That's spectre's blood." Shadow Stephanie informs, sighing happily as she thinks of Sivius.

"It may appear that you've opened your last gift, but your friends from this universe didn't forget about you either." Tenebrae says, smiling and clicking her fingers, causing a smaller pile of presents to appear behind me.

"We didn't forget about you, but we were all sort of busy yesterday." Katie says, smiling at me.

 

Crystal just watches as well.

 

"I thought you broke up." Sapphire asks Shadow Stephanie, confused.

Xlentia smiles, amused by the extended celebration.

He then turns to the second set of gifts.

 

"I guess we sort of did? Happy memories I guess." Shadow Stephanie says, her happiness seeming to turn.

Artemis uses a pair of vine hands to grab a gift wrapped in leaves, offering it to me.

"I got...us, something special." Artemis says, smiling and blushing.

I take the box, opening it and taking out what looks to be a large, green heart with two string hoops either side of it.

"It's a necklace for both of us that keeps us connected at all times. It comes apart so we can each have a heart, but it sticks together when they're close," Artemis says, "Mother modified it for me so I could wear it as a replacement for my usual one."

I easily split the necklace into two broken heart pieces, myself putting on one half and giving the other half to Artemis, who puts it on, her previous necklace seeming to be missing. The pair of us hug, and the necklaces attach to each other, forming a heart again.

 

"Sort of? What do you mean?"

Xlentia smiles.
"You two make a sweet couple."

 

"I don't know, I don't really remember if we did, I just...remember things not really working between us," Shadow Stephanie says, sighing, "I'd rather not talk about it. This is Aj's day."


The pair of us kiss before I take a gift wrapped in blue paper with waves decorated on it, the necklace popping apart into two halves again.

"I tried to get you something you'd like and find useful," Katie says happily as I open the gift, taking out a strange black mask for my mouth and two blue bracelets, "The mask allows you to breathe underwater like a fish. I know you already could, but your lungs would always fill with water, so this should stop that. The bracelets stop the water from slowing you down, so you can fight and move in it much easier now!"

"Thanks, Katie! I like this and it's useful!" I say happily.

Katie giggles.

 

"You seem confused. Why don't you go talk to him in the Void Palace once the party's over?" Sapphire offers.

"Ah, that reminds me. Katie, would you mind coming over to my house after this is over?" Alice asks. "I've got a few water guardian questions.

 

"...Sure, I guess I could do that." Shadow Stephanie says.


"Oh, ok! I'd be happy to answer your questions." Katie says happily.

I take a simple looking gift and open it.

"Oh, that's mine. I wasn't entirely sure what to get you, but I hope you like it." Angela says, smiling nervously.

I take out a black mug with red eyes painted onto it, as well as a light red coaster with a swirling pattern on it to go with the mug; a bottle of fiery orange whiskey and a plush black cat with sewn in eyes.

"Aw, thanks Angela! This is really nice of you. I'll make sure to use this mug and coaster, especially to drink the whiskey with!" I say happily.

Angela smiles a little less nervously, seeming happy with the reaction.

 

Muffy comes out of nowhere, sitting on your shoulder and sniffing at the plush cat.
Rineth laughs.
"Oh, I'd say Muffy escaped again..."

 

"Hey, Muffy." I say happily, petting Muffy lightly before opening a gift with paper that seems to swirl and move.

"I made you that present myself. I was a little inspired by Abigail's visor to be fair," Stephanie says happily as I take out a pair of glass goggles with metal rims, deciding to put them on, "I know you can see other planes of reality, but this should allow you to keep track of the things on them a little easier, as well as record and play back what you see if you need to."

"Whoa, these things are awesome." I say happily, looking around as my eyes glow through the goggles, images slightly visible as I appear to watch back footage of what I was looking at.

Stephanie smiles, "Glad you like them." She says.
