Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Apparently the Hive Master gave him a crystal that can lift the curses from one of the preservers."

She's still there.

 

"Right. Shouldn't we light the cake and such first though?" I ask.

 

"That's Emerald, and Saphirre, and those guys, right? Woah."

I land near her, stomping to make my landing apparent.

 

Xlentia lights the candles, giving the frosting a small glaze as her breath melts it a bit.
"I don't actually know the birthday song." She admits.
"OH COME ON I KNOW I TAUGHT YOU IT!" Emerald yells, frustrated.
"Yeah, but I forgot!" She protests.
"Yeah, yeah, I know..."

She jumps a bit, almost tackling you before she eases up.
"Sorry"

 

Artemis takes out an ocarina and starts to play while Katie begins singing with her hypnotically sweet voice.

"Happy birthday to you," Katie starts, glancing at the others.

 

"Hm."
Crystal thinks.

"Its okay
Are you doing fine out here"

 

The others join in, Xlentia just standing there nervously.
"Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday dear Aj,
Happy birthday to you!"
Xlentia only catches the last line, feeling a bit ridiculous.

Rineth joins in the birthday song.

"Things all ran
But yeah Im fine I think"

 

A wide smile is all that's on my face before I blow out the candles, Artemis hugging me afterwards.

 

Crystal sings as well, his lines slower than others, possibly due to a lack of remembering.

I think about how much time has past since I left Amethyst here.

 

Everyone else smiles, Xlentia pointing a claw at a faux cake made out of diamond, gold, and other jewels.
"This is from me, because I think everyone needs more shinies!" She says happily.

Rineth smiles.
"You did better than Xlentia."

It's been a week or so.

 

"So, I'm not supposed to eat that one?" I ask jokingly, smiling.

 

Xlentia giggles.
"I mean, that wasn't the intention, but as a shadow you could probably manage."

"This place is okay
I wouldnt mind for a while"

 

"I got sung it a few times, but not every year... I think."

"Its been about a week by now
Do you wanna stay here still"

 

Crystal just shrugs.

"Alright
Ill be checking up regularly by now
And trying to figure out what to do
But ive got to go so see you later"

 

"He'd be able to consume and digest most of it, though I can't say it'd feel particularly nice on the other end." Tenebrae says, smiling.

"Yeah, maybe I won't eat it." I say, laughing.

 

"Well, maybe you can stay for cake or a game?"

"Thanks
Bye"

Xlentia laughs.
"Well, anyways, that's my gift. Hope you like it!"
"I think each of us got you one thing." Emerald comments.

 

"Of course I'm staying, it's not like I have something important to do."

"Bye"
I trace, then take off towards the Void Palace, and through one of the portals to the party.

 

"Aw, that's so kind of all of you!" I say happily.

"I've got a gift for you too which I believe will assist you, though I'll let you open the other's gifts first." Tenebrae says, smiling.

 

"Just wasn't sure since we didn't have time to give you a heads-up this party was happening."

You see everyone, Xlentia included, around a couple of party tables.

"Well, your pick, then!" Alice says happily.

Each box has a from tag, so you may as well pick whose gift you open first.

 

Not wanting to take a bias, I randomly pick a gift to open.
